We're thinking of checking it out, even though we're not corgi owners yet, but our breeder suggested it and it sounds awesome.

Yes, I do know that there is one...and a yahoo one but please hear me out. I can not currently access the yahoo groups one and the one on meetup is currently not active. Also any meetup group requires a monthly fee as well which is, truthfully quite expensive.

I am going to attempt to post events and spark a group here, but I need your help on this one. Please let me know if you are going to attend or not. I'm open to locations and ideas and am more then willing to make this work any…

So I got Ein a devil dog costume this year, but maybe I should have gone with macgyver instead. My husband had a sandwich for lunch and it came with a peppermint. Just a plain ol red n white peppermint in a square wrapper. In the 30 seconds that it took my husband to go to the restroom Ein saw his chance (this is the part i'm not sure about) He either mananaged to squeeze the mint out of the wrapper while it was still on the table OR he got it off of the table squeezed the mint out and then…

This is only the most recient "Macgyver" moment. I'm not sure he's not rigging some system to get into the fridge while we are away. :) How has your corgi been a macgyver? For those in the area, the annual Philly Area Corgi Picnic will be held at Hibernia Park (near Coatesville, PA) on June 14, 2008. This year looks like it will be the biggest yet; friends from the DC area, New Hampshire, New York, and even Toronto look like they will be coming out! We will also be having a silent auction for Corgi Aid at the picnic.

If you want to come, I would highly suggest joining the Philly Area Corgis e-mail list. You can join at…

I've had a hard time finding active Corgi owners in Austin, but here are some general dog park events in Austin. We'd love to see other Austin area Corgis with their humans!

Sunday 01/27/08:
Dog Party organized by Yelp.com
This is an all-breed, all-sized-dog event starting with a hike at 11:30am at Bull Creek District Park and ending at Freddie's dog-friendly restaraunt.
Saturday, 02/02/08:
Norwood Estate Dog Park, 1:00PM
I35 at Riverside Drive
This is a Small Dog Meetup group for dogs under 30 lbs. (If you have a 35 lb Corgi, I doubt anyone would complain.) We'll be in the fenced section of the park reserved for small dogs. This group plans to meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday.
(Charlie and I will be attending this meetup if the weather is nice.)
