Hi guys,
Not sure if this is supposed to go in the health category but earlier tonight my 3 month old Corgi puppy Bailey peed while she was sleeping. This has only happened once before but it happened in her crate so I assumed she just wasn't able to hold it. Is this normal? She's potty-trained now and was just sleeping in the living room when it happened so she could have just gotten up to go. Any insight?
Thanks guys!

Permalink Reply by Anna Morelli on August 3, 2012 at 11:37am This is more commonly seen in some Giant breeds, Irish Wolfhounds for example, who mature slowly and sleep soundly. Make sure she goes out to do her business on a schedule and as late as possible for the last time, depending on when you go to bed. She should outgrow this fairly soon, my guess is weeks, not months.
Permalink Reply by Lori Odishoo on August 4, 2012 at 4:20am Don't worry about it, She is still only a baby and is going to have accidents :-D My girl peed in her sleep all over my lap once and she was probably about 5-6 months old at that time! We came home from a long walk and she was tuckered out and dead asleep on my lap. Next thing I knew, my lap was feeling damp......
Permalink Reply by Sammy & Bailey on August 4, 2012 at 7:27am You guys made me feel much better! I thought it was probably just a puppy thing but then I looked online and it only resulted in horrible stories about Dog UTI's and bladder issues. The internet makes me a dog hypochondriac.
Thanks,
Sammy & Bailey
