I really love my Hoover Windtunnel it creats a suction around it as well as under it. Dust bunnies and hair come flying from under the chairs and toe kicks, I ahve had it a long time too!

In 1980, I bought a Kirby and it was my BFF for over 20 years. I replaced that with a Kenmore - that didn't last long, there's just no comparison ...I was really disgusted with every other vacuum I looked at.

FINALLY - on Craig's List, I scored a brand new IN THE BOX(ES) Kirby, all the bells & whistles, latest model ...$225. I dropped everything, went to the bank and then to get my new BFF. I was afraid the woman selling it would realize she was NUTS to sell at that price, but it's mine…

I have a Hoover WindTunnel + Cyclonic Bagless HEPA Upright Vacuum Cleaner. When we got Baxter my mom bought me this vacuum. So I've had it about a year. At first my boyfriend did the vacuuming and everything seemed fine. I can't recall when he told me the vacuum broke, but it did a few months after getting it. He took the base off and fixed it. Within the past couple of months, I've taken over the vacuuming. It seems like even though Baxter isn't blowing his coat, he is in constant shed mode.…

At first my boyfriend did the vacuuming and everything seemed fine. I can't recall when he told me the vacuum broke, but it did a few months after getting it. He took the base off and fixed it. Within the past couple of months, I've taken over the vacuuming. It seems like even though Baxter isn't blowing his coat, he is in constant shed mode. So I vacuum about twice a week. This vacuum picks up a lot of hair, so much that I have to empty the canister after every room. Emptying it is messy. Very messy. You should either take it outside to empty or really hold it down inside the garbage can. The sucking power is great, I like the attachments, but it seems like when you're using them, the vacuum will always fall over. A month ago one of the belts seemed loose and the brush stopped rolling. I replaced the belt and it worked great. The next time I used it, it made a weird noise and then the brush stopped working altogether. I took it to a repair shop and the man told me it was the belts. I told him I just replaced them. He took it apart and told me I was right. He said they would have to order a special part for it. Thankfully it was still under warranty. I was really happy thinking about it getting fixed until I went to pick it up from the store only to find a new man telling me it was the belts and that I now owed $25.00. Belts (which I could have replaced myself for half that cost) are not covered under warranty. On the plus side, the vacuum is working now and the repair comes with a 30 day warranty. So I will be vacuuming a lot this month hoping that if it stops working again, they are look into this "belt" problem a little deeper on their own dime.
In short, read a lot of consumer reviews before buying. This Bissell sounds like a dream. I'll have to keep that in mind for my next vacuum as I don't think I'll be buying a Hoover again. I 2nd this. I have a Bissell Healthy Home and 2 of my married children bought one also after using mine. I have vac'd for more than 45 years (cleaned house for others when I was in high school) and this is the best I have ever used. Not sure how many of you have ever tried to vac your dogs, but we have had 2 that LOVE it!! I have to make them go outside so they leave me alone to clean. Ansley goes after the vac until I stop and put the soft brush on and then she purrs like the cats. It helps a lot on the…

I have the Bissell Pet Hair vac and it is messy to empty but otherwise it still works. We kill vacumns at our house so I try not to spend too much on them. We had a Dyson Animal that lasted about 5 years.

I get some dust from the filter area, but all in all it's not too bad. I use the hose attachment to clean the filter area after I've emptied the bin and replaced it. Does that sound weird? LOL

I've also had my Bissel Pet Hair eraser for about 6 months. I had to replace the belt once but that's been it. I'm amazed at what gets vacuumed up yet it is not harmed!
