Poopdeck's main treat are carrots. Unfortunately we give them to him quite often(just cuz he's so cute). It's kind of fun to chuck peas and beans across the room when he is facing the other direction, it's amazing what those ears pick up. We save them as treats and not a staple, as many people do.

Tomahawk will happily eat any vegetable you give him. If I have the time, I like making him a vegetable stew that includes squash, cabbage, celery, carrots, corn, peas, and broccoli. He LOVES his stew.

He isn't a big fan of fruits, which I find really surprising since he seems to have a sweet tooth ( blame it on my grandpa), but he will eat an occasional banana or orange slice.

Simon and Copper both love pumpkin, bananas, frozen green beans (straight from the freezer) and plain non-fat yogurt. An occasional fried egg also makes its way into their bowls once and awhile. Along with the above items, they get 1/3 cup Natural Balance sweet potato/fish twice a day. They both lost around 3-4 lbs.

Baxter and Ziggy love fruits and veggies. Everything everyone listed-- blueberries, green beans, sweet potato, carrots, apples, etc. I just started giving them little pieces of asparagus and tomato and they love that too. Using these in place of treats is really nice too. You can dry some fruits out in your oven and store them for later.

Ha, that is funny. One of ours was a vegetable and fruit LOVER! Bananas were his favorite. He has been raw for just udner 2 years now and as time goes on he turns his nose up with a great bitterness. When I hand out the bananas he takes it, VERY reluctently and ONLY because his brother is gobbling his up. He brings it to his bed and guards it. Usually about after half an hour he has forced a little piece down but forgets about it and walks away. Same with carrots, apples, etc.

He…

Thank you I have never given him more than 1/2 . I looked it up and nothing explains why, but most of the guotes were about a dog eating a lot. I will stop letting him have them to be safe. You know when I was young we had a springer spaniel, She never had dog food, mom made her a plate each meal from the table. Gretchen lived to be17 and never went to the vet. I gave all of her shots at home.

Grapes and raisins are poisonous to dogs and can cause death. I had a friend whose dog got into a little snack pack box of raisins and died.

Your baby will love you for these treats. Start small with just a few to see what your baby likes. At my house the dogs sit by the rabbit pen waiting for the carrot nub to fall out of the bars. Big hits fo us. peeled apples, blueberries, sweet potatoes blackberries, halfed red grapes( Seedless) pineapple, and fresh salad if it has a little Ranch dressing on it. Fried Chicken Liver for special teats I get a pound in the deli.
