Howdy! I just brought home a corgi puppy, Rini, a week and a half ago. She is 12 weeks old. Anyone have advice on how to curb her barking? Most of the time, she barks when she needs something, and I oblige, but she will also bark at times when there is nothing I can do for her, such as in the car when she's in her car seat. Is there anything I can do to teach her that barking is not appropriate outside of play time, or when she really needs something?

Hiya, hope this post is okay, I just have some stuff I bought for Nellie that is either WAY too big or that I don't use anymore since I'm weaning her off kibble. I have both large Kong Genius toys (Leo and Mike) and the large Wobbler toy for kibble. Both of them should be perfect sized for any adult corgi. I will wash and sterilize them, but none of them have seen any hard usage and all of them are in like new condition.

If you are no longer in the California area or know of someone out of state who is interested I will also ship!

Hi,

As some people in the chat already know, I've already had a few ups and downs with trying to find a corgi. I currently have a lead but her litter is not due until March, and for personal timing reasons I was hoping to find one sooner. Plus, considering my track record with the previous two breeders I was working with (one is considering keeping hers and the other said she was not going to sell the one I had a hold on because he was a runt), I don't feel particularly confident…

Plus, considering my track record with the previous two breeders I was working with (one is considering keeping hers and the other said she was not going to sell the one I had a hold on because he was a runt), I don't feel particularly confident about this litter either. I have already emailed the Golden Gate pembroke club, which is where I found these breeders, so I'm open to suggestions or leads outside of the area as well. I can drive to Central or even Southern California if necessary.

Thanks,

When we brought home our previous girl, Chloe Rose, she had a heart condition, so, after her surgery, I needed to sit with her in a puppy enclosure for 8 weeks while she healed and had to be kept quiet. Our other dog,Mr. Fish, was around 2 years old at this time. Because of this situation, their introduction to each other and subsequent interaction was very proscribed and limited by the circumstances. So, I don't have much experience in introducing a healthy puppy into a family with a somewhat older dog. Also, I'm not sure when Lily and Charlie might be able to be left alone together. Obviously, this will vary with each pair of dogs, but I'm just wondering if any of you have any general ideas about this. I want to make sure that they both are happy and comfortable with each other.
Cardi Breederstag:mycorgi.com,2011-05-07:1150197:Topic:10250422011-05-07T18:29:16.073ZPatty & Frodo and Crystal CWCshttp://mycorgi.com/profile/PattyGuthrie

Hey everyone, I am currently looking to add a second corgi (or corgi mix) to my home. I have an almost 2 year old male and am looking for a companion for him. I am currently a student so can't spend an arm and a leg for a puppy from a breeder so looking to rescue a purebred corgi or corgi mix (that has the looks and temperament of a corgi). I don't care if it is an adult or a puppy as long as it is dog and cat friendly. Any leads would be great! I have been looking on petfinder and…
