Thanks Laura! I really like this group too! I made this group, and I'm surprised of all the people who joined.

HA HA HA! Corky! That is too funny! (Maybe not quite so funny at 1 a.m., but maybe a little! Grin.) We once left a wedge of parmesan cheese in a plastic bag on the counter...close to the edge. While we were eating in a different room, we kept hearing thud, thud, thud which we knew was Annie trying to jump for something. Then we stopped hearing thuds and started hearing her nails against the floor as she scampered away. I went into the den, where I knew she'd gone and there she was with that hunk of cheese. It was a Corgi dream come true! A short-lived dream, but a dream just the same...

Corky has committted another crime but he is not the smartest criminal. He called me "on the phone" the other night at about 1:00 a.m from the kitchen counter while he was scavenging the salad bowl for remnants. Yes that is right he called me on the telephone! I was sound asleep and the phone rang but not its usual ring I looked at it and it said intercomm, so i said hello, "snuffle snuffle", I hung it back up and thought about it for a moment in my groggy state and decided it had to come from in the house to push the intercomm button, so then i was afraid someone was in the house, I listened and sure enough weird sounds were coming from the kitchen. So i tiptoed down the hall and there silhoutted on the counter was one naughty corgi happily cleaning the salad bowl! The phone sat right next to the bowl so he must have been nosing around and hit the intercomm button on his midnight raid. I yelled at him and he jumped and ran past me and under the bed. What else is surprising is I wondered if he was getting on the counter and moved all the bar stools away that night. So he leaping with those stubby legs all the way up on the counter!!! He is one agile little monkey! I am going to put a video cam up to see how in the world he is doing this! I will keep you all posted!

I am glad to report that since the electrical cord incident a few weeks ago there have been no serious crimes committed. Oh sure the usual suspects chewing the usual house plants, outside flowers, and hole digging... but no major criminal activity.
