If anyone in San Antonio would like to adopt a beautiful blackhead tricolor fluffy, there is one who needs a home! http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22500518 -- she's so pretty!
Saw this on Craigslist if everyone is interested:
Howdy partners! Grover here just saying WOOF!
I should add we are in Midland, TX
Guys I have a male red and white and a female tricolor that I need to find a good home for. My wife works at the SPCA and these were owner surrendered to them, we believe they were a breeding pair in a puppy mill as you can tell the female has had several litters and both were unfixed. Anyways we found a very nice home for them with a couple that had a corgi mix and a Great Pyrenese (I'm sure I misspelled that). Things were great four about six months but the the Pyrenese began to pick on the male corgi and the female defended him. Needless to say the corgi lost that fight and they have had to pay over a thousand in vet bills. Both of them are staying with us while we find a new home. They are sooo sweet, we have a red and white female Pembroke and they get along great, we have three cats and have had no problems. The last owners had smal lchildren and that was not an issue so I beleive the only problem would be a home with a larger dominant dog. If you are interested in finding these two a forever home please contact me 337-356-6716.
There's a new sheriff in town.
Yes he and my other corgi weren't getting along and even got into a fight. We just got the tri named Bunsen fixed the other day to see if this will help with the issue. My first corgi, Beaker was neutered around 4 months, so he doesn't know what he is missing. Bunsen is still a bit food aggressive and I would like for this to help. If they still don't get a long then yes, he will need to go to a single dog home. But I must say, he has bit me once, but it was partly my fault too. He did growl at me for quite a bit and I kept pushing him and finally he had enough and got me. Other then that, he just sits in my lap and nozzles my hand or arm to pet him. I am hoping that this works, he is a very sweet dog with some rough edges.
According to Stuart, the new tri just does not get along with his current Corgi and was an only dog at his first home.
I don't see why not, as long as you'd think he'd do well as being a single dog.
Can you send me more information so I can forward it to her? (and thank you so much! I've been looking all over shelters. She's a former Corgi owner, so I know he would be in good hands)
Stuart on the North Texas Corgis group has a 3 y.o. male tri that is not getting along with his current Corgi. Would your friend consider him?
