Elizabeth, Luna will probably love it. I have found that all my corgis have known how to swim but some like it better than others. At first they have a preference for wading. Life jacket is needed if you will be in deep water. Unless you have a superior recall, keep her leashed (no telling what dangers she could encounter) and don't let her bark too much to bother other campers. Bring some gauze and athletic tape in case of injury (I always bring a collapsible water bowl and a muzzle too). And make sure that you are up to date on flea and tick preventative. Have fun!

Bev - Captain the Doberman raised Tegan the Corgi so he's in charge of some things (like stuffed toys), but she's in charge of other things (the ball).  It's pretty give and take with those two.

Took Rex on his first camping trip this past week. We had an amazing time, and I think he did too! He met a couple other corgis, and he loved them! He actually didn't bark at them, it's like he recognized that they were the same. He didn't love swimming too much, but we were able to coax him in a few times. He would swim a little bit, that turn back to shore.

We had a blast on Our camping trip up to the redwoods here in Ca.Our grandpup Logan has benn to the ocean, but not a river, and He took to it like a fish!!He's a corgi with legs a little longer than "the norm" and swam like crazy. Our Merlin loves the water as well (and the 1/2 brother of Logan) but He's still a litttle timid in deep water after the 2 ccl surgeries. He'll be there soon!!Keri of course barely gets her tummy wet, which is easy beings she's the shortest corgi I've ever seen.Hopefull Hubby will have pics soon.He had to head to work 6 hours after We got home :(

Love the find the corgi in the picture pictures too! Thanks, we enjoy the RV too. My tent camping days are long over and now roughing it is camping without water and sewer but we used to go without and still loved it. I think you need a little "nomad" in there to really enjoy it.
