It can be really difficult for corgis to lose weight. Right before Baxter was put on adult food, he was about 4 lbs over weight. Not too much over weight, but it was a big surprise for me. Trisha, what is your girl down to now?

Jasmine,

I have a 15-year-old female who recently topped the scales at more than 32 pounds. She is on a diet and is on her way to slimming down. It is a half-pound at a time but she will do it.

How did you hear about these Corgis?

We are wanting to add a sister to our family.  If anyone knows of any girl corgis wanting a home - we are interested!!  : )

Also, if there are any activities in the panhandle for our dogs.  We live in Crestview.  I just took Ben to the vet - he had what I thought was a "hot spot" on his left "arm".  Turns out that he has caused it himself because he hasn't been stimulated enough.  It's common in herding breeds.  I had surgery on Oct 20 - and we haven't been doing our two mile walk each day - so he created a raw spot on his arm that stimulates him.  Who knew - our dog has OCD symptoms.  The vet gave us some drops and we are starting back on our 2 mile walks -but I know he would benefit from some socialization as well.

I think Baxter likes the cold. He is so perky on our morning walks. I just have to bundle up!
