Hey Fluffs! What been happening in the lives of the world's most perfect dogs?? Twinkie is large and in charge around here. We are looking forward to the weather cooling down to see what her coat does this year. I wonder if her gorgeous coat from last year was a fluke of her being still being a pup? Have a great weekend!

I understand trimming the skirt and belly hair for coolness...but Roger is a pretty active dog. He likes to be out CONSTANTLY. Any thoughts other than the above to keep him cool?

Good morning! Linus' breeder showed me how to trim the belly hair and skirt of my fluffy for the summer too. She recommends that you not shave a fluffy unless you have a mat attack or other problem. My three live here in Virginia where we too have to restrict our summer outings to early in the day, later in the evening and plenty of splat time on the hardwood floors! Bill =- four fluffies? Wow! All the best from Bear, Tasha and Linus (Heronsway Land of the Hokies)

Roger I trim all the hair off of my 4 fluff's bellies so when they lay down they get cooled quicker. I have seen Fluff's trimed very short but you run the risk of them getting sunburned. Really. I live in South Florida and as long as we limit the time outside to the cooler morning and evening times and ave plenty of water it is not a problem.

As a newbie fluffy owner, do you trim them in the summer? I have heard of thinning the coat, I have seen pics shaving them...anyone have suggestions? I know Roger will die in the Summer heat if we don't do something with his coat then.

I just added 15 photos from when Starbuck was a puppy and when he was around 2 years old. The Power of the Fluff!

See our boy Starbuck at the bottom of the page at http://www.coedwig.com/puppies.html. He's the fluffy son of "the top producing Cardigan in the history of the breed" and even prettier than his famous daddy dog. He has the sweetest temperament of any Cardi we ever met. Lots of gorgeous Cardi pix at the coedwig site.
