I lost my corgi, Langston, 4 weeks ago today on Oct 1 and I'm still devastated.  He was 11 1/2 and seemed to be a healthy, happy corgi with many years ahead.  And around Aug he became very…Continue

This was Chansey when she was about 2 years old, she lived to be 12 but she didn't go peacefully.  She drowned in my grandmother's pool this past August, I still can't figure out why it happened because we had been living there since July 2007 and she avoided the pool like it was the plague.  She was a great dog, a couch potato who clinged to me like her fur did to my clothes.  She would lie by the front door waiting for me to come home and helped me through some of the most difficult times of my life.  I hate that she is gone and there's nothing I can do to bring her back.  I feel lost without the three pets that have made the most impact out of my life.  First my Doberman Hershey who I had to have put down on Halloween in 2008 (he would have been 15 that December), then Chansey in August and my 16 year old cat Ernie was put down 3 months later due to complications caused by diabetes (he was diagnosed 2 years prior).  They leave a great big hole which will probably never heal but doesn't stop me from getting more pets.  There are things they can do that humans cannot.

We lost our girl Lexi just under 4 years ago to lymphosarcoma. We had her put down on her 4th birthday. We were having her treated for allergies, when one morning I was petting her under her chin and it felt like a bunch of marbles were in there. My wife took her to the vet the next day thinking that was part of her allergic reaction to things, but was BLOWN AWAY when the vet diagnosed her with lympho. Needless to say the family as devestated. Lexi is gone but not forgotten, and never ever will be! She was so special. Rest in peace Lexi girl we will be together again. :)

I went through terminal liver cancer with my little 10 year old corgi-chow Yewbee in June of this year. The doctors estimated 6 weeks to 3 months from diagnosis, but it was much quicker than that, and on July 1, I had to make the most difficult decision of my life.

I sure miss you, Yewbee - rest at Jesus's feet - I'll see you "in the morning".

Oh Jasmine, so sorry to hear your story. How terrible and I hope you can find another sweet corgi soon. I am sure Rocky is having a great time over the bridge!

Hi Jasmine. So sorry to hear about Rocky. He was a such beautiful corgi. Whoever committed this act of cruelty is beyond mean. I can only say if you can find another do so it does help I lost my Shania in August. I now have another Gemma is no. 3. Do check the Corgi Rescue Groups. May you and your little sister know that I will be thinking of you and your Rocky. Sharon&Gemma

Jasmine, that's so sad about your loss of Rocky.  Keep searching your area, watch petfinder.com, craigslist.org, and locate the Corgi rescue group in your state.  With a little perseverance and luck you could find a wonderful new friend who needs a loving home and who needs you just as much as you need him or her.  I know you won't forget Rocky, but getting a new Corgi pal does help. I lost both of my Corgis in 2009 and Gromit has help a lot in moving on.

This is Rocky someone ran him over with a 4 wheeler 2 months ago, to be mean. My sister is 9 and she has not gotten over it, Rock would have been 3, 1 week from when he died, We wanted to get another one from his same breeder, Teresa Batten, but her and her Corgis have vanished. Its so hard to find Corgis down south. Well Rocky is very happy now across the Rainbow bridge, My Grandmothers 11 year old German Shepard mix joined him today from stomach cancer...... I miss him so much. I don't know how everyone else handles it with out another dog to comfort them, it was so hard on us and we have 2 pit bulls. They were Rockys Best Friends, I swear the Male pit bull cried when we brought Rock Star home, The female kept nudging him, as if to make him wake up and play. The male pit bull and the female slept on his grave for a week or 2 but have stopped now........ I'm very sorry for all of you who have lost there beloved corgis also. These picture are of Rock at Halloween and Christmas with my little sister.
