Every time I take Maple for a walk, she attractions so much attention because she is just to darn cute lol :) but I always get asked if she is a rare breed because the common color is the red and white...are the tri colors rare? I do also have to admit, the (few) corgis I've seen have been red/white. Just thought I'd ask...thanks to those who reply! =)

My husband and I were just looking at our tri-color the other night and wondering just how common they are too... He's a rescue, and I've never spent time with a breeder - maybe they would have a better sense? We have also simply encountered many more of the red/white variety. I just saw The King's Speech (and remembered seeing The Queen), appreciating the dogs in film, and the royals seem to have just the red/white ones, if the movies are a true reflection! At our house, we believe tris are the "best," of course, but I really don't know how truly rare they are.
Oh thanks for the response and the compliment! Maple is a character for sure, but I'm sure yours is too! How old is your doggy? He is too cute =) I actually just got back from the pet store and while I was there, there was another corgi getting groomed. (corgis are not too common in my area) Excited to see the corgi, but again this one was red/white. still very cute. I can't help but be partial to the Tri's...there is just something so "foxy" about them!
Thanks! Hank is eight-ish. After I wrote earlier, I was thinking that technically, we could call our other pup a tri-color corgi as well, although I somehow didn't think of that because she is half border collie - Trixie's four. They're both ridiculously cute and make my day - every day. And they are both definitely "foxy"! We get excited to see other corgis as well - I swear they are getting more popular because I keep seeing them on ads lately.
