Most of the corgis I know don't seem to like the water much, but Pixel, our bluie loves it. This photo was taken during one of our frequent kayaking trips. I kind of wonder if he was looking for something to eat!

This is the first summer (her second) that Cookie loves to swim. Last year we took her swimming with our son's 4 year old sheperd that would stay in the water to exhaustion and she was VERY skeptical but as soon as summer hit this year she was all over it. Corgis don't have webbed feet so they aren't natual swimmers like a spanial or retiever but they sure do seem to love it. It is funny to watch Cookie turn; she leans the way she wants to turn rather than paddling that way. Now this year we have a second Corgi puppy and he is just now deciding that water isn't going to kill him. He'll put his front paws into the wadding pool and walks the edge with his hind feet-not too sure about it all just yet.
