Well I've been home for about an hour and I still haven't made up my mind. Becca was oh so cute, and very personable. I think I made a mistake taking her a squeaky Kong ball. She was hyper focused on it and it was harder to get to know her. I stuffed the ball in the pocket of my sweatshirt. She sniffed around for a few minutes then stuck her whole head into the pocket after it. We went for a walk, she walks well on a loose leash. She was rather stubborn when we turned back. Apparently they have an established route and we deviated from it. I just called her and waited her out if she tried to go the other way. She was fine when we met a runner, very interested in a bike, and did well when we met a rotti. Back at the house she focused more on me. Climbed on my lap multiple times. Washed my glasses extremely well lol.
I guess my main worry is how she will be with Mokey. There are no cats where she is now. She was so extremely focused on the ball. I could picture that same intensity focused on Mokey. I need to call the breeder and ask about a trial period. Overall she is a great 8 month old, who doesn't know a lot yet. Seems healthy and she didn't have any obvious fears.
Melissa and Franklin!
Ask for at least a month. She will need at least a few weeks for her real personality to shine through. I wouldn't take an adult dog from a breeder without a trial period. She was on her home turf around what she is used to, take her out of her comfort zone for a few weeks and see how she reacts. That will also give you time to see how she is with your kitty. She's very pretty, looks more mature than an 8 month old. Beautiful face, looks like she has some Nebriowa in her somewhere with her coloring and face.

I emailed the breeder and she agreed to a month trial period. Hopefully I can pick Becca up Saturday morning. Every time I go through the house I pick up a few more cat toys. I should be able to get them all before Saturday. I have no idea how it will go with the cat. I am hoping well. At least I have a plan. There is an obedience class nearby that starts the first week of April. A friend used the trainer and had good results. It much closer to the class I took Kramer to.
Right now she is in a plastic crate. A friend offered me a wire one to borrow. Should I change types? My crate is plastic but an extra large and will not fit into the living room without major rearranging.
Becca is a Sippiwisset corgi. The dogs from this kennel seem to do it all, show, track, herd and obedience.
