8-8 would be good for us. An 11 start time would be best, but a little later would be fine as well.

The Michigan Corgi Aid Picnic (yahoo group) is meeting in Ray MI on the 20th of Aug. Is anyone else going to that? I'm bringing a corgi painting and a handmade corgi jewelry box for the auction.
It would be fun to make a weekend of it!

Then lets move it to the last weekend on aug what is that the 29th? And get this going!

Sorry everyone for not getting back to you about the July meetup, that needed to be rescheduled. I went on vacation! Gunner and Gracie learned to swim in the lake, Gracie was quite a good swimmer. She would just jump off the dock and swim away... till she was ready to get out. Cracked us up! She would use her back legs like a rudder... if she would start to tilt on the back end she would paddle with just one leg and would right herself. Anyway back to the meet. How about the 8th and then we can do the 22nd again, for those that want to. I live fairly close so I can do both. But I know Elisabeth would like to meet us as she is from California. Those that can make it on the 8th we can do 11-2, and then again on the 22nd same time same place... let me know and I will post.

Bruno and I wil be there in the main area by 11 am on the 8th. for some ball catching and meet and greet, then we will move on to the doggie dock for a swim. :) the park has a fantastic layout for those who have not been there .... there is a info booth as well. and dont forget money for parking if you dont have a michigan park permit. cheers

I like the idea of doing it both weekends because we can definitely make it this weekend, but we won't be in town on the 22nd. Barkley is very excited that the playdate is rescheduled.

Hi all, I didn't get there until late... Elisabeth and Bruno were just leaving. I did meet Lauren and Izzy, who had met Elisabeth and Bruno and came when I got there. That was about 1p. Did anyone else show up? Hope you all had fun.

We got there at about noon and stayed until just before 1, the pup was getting really warm and I can't get him to go swimming unless I'm in the water too...and that's not happening, haha.

We were there at 11 and met Bruno and Barkley. Was hoping to see more there, but was nice to see a few!

Is everyone still going this weekend? the 22nd? Please let me know, Katie has been looking forward to this!

I am pretty sure we will be there. I am having a large party the night before so my husband is a little reluctant but I still think we will make it.

Darlene and pat it looks like you are the only ones going besides us, maybe since it's not really near any of us we want to find a closer park( I know it's really last minute) but if you did- there is a nice small fenced in park in saline at the pet emporium . It's free and they have toys for the dogs too- it's usually empty too. If not we will make the drive but just thought since not too many are going - and since we are all very south of lake Orion .

I am ok with that Tohnya...send us the address of it or at least the name. If Pat wants to go there instead we can switch. I will check in the AM for any new posts. Or at least later this AM...lol

The pet emproium is much farther for me, Katie doesnt swim, unless I go in and take her so the water park is not much help. I could make the extra drive since I am the only one. I jsut worry about shade, Jatie doesnt like the heat much. is the a shaded area?

I was going to leave about 11am or so, its about an hour 16 mins drive for me, as long as theres shade I will go to Ann Arbor. jsut let me know, I can be there a little after 12pm ok?

Oh my... well both are a 90 min drive for me. I am not planning on using the lake, as you can't go in the water with the dogs, and mine seem to like the companion swim. The Lake Orion is grass, the Pet Emporium is wood chips. The Lake Orion has a huge tree with benches for shade, the Pet Emporium has a gazebo. One is free, one isn't. Soooo, I think either one is ok, but I am just wondering if some people are going to come that didn't post... that happened at the one in AA. I am thinking we should just keep it at Lake Orion as it was posted. We can always go to Saline another time. I will be at Lake Orion about 1p. :o)

okLake Orion it is, I live in Oakland county and its not that expensive for me. I was wondering the same thing, if people are going that didnt post, it would be better just in case.... or for last minute if someone looks at the original post.
We can make the next one at Ann Arbor and try that one. I would like to see once a month get togethers, its good for the dogs!
