Jack's very excited! He loves meeting new friends! :)
  • Mister Jack

It was great to meet Lady Bug and Cowboy Hope this Saturday! I'll get around to posting the pictures I took tomorrow. :)

To all those who couldn't make it, no worries! I'm pretty positive we'll have another play date very soon. :)
  • Cowboy Hope

It was GREAT fun I will get pictures posted soon as well :)
  • Lauren (Duke and Daisy's momma)

Please, let's have another get together. We didn't get to make the last one and Duke would love to meet some Corgi buddies. :-)
  • Sarah C.

I wish we had a calender widget so that we could all post when we go to what parks and make meeting up easier!
  • Cowboy Hope

I finally put up some pitures of the last get together on my page, We should have another one soon which park works for you?
  • Mister Jack

Did anyone find out about the meet up tomorrow? I got the email, but no replies from it or anything. I was planning on taking Jack, but since there's no information, I guess we can't go! Lol. Is there anymore information?
  • Robin & Gimli

Just saying Hi to everyone. This is my first corgi and he is wonderful. I look forward to getting to know everyone. Have a great holliday.
  • Jessica

Which park is the best for puppies...or does it matter? I haven't been to one around here yet. I live in the downtown area.
  • Mister Jack

Is anyone planning another meet up?
  • Sarah C.

Maybe we should plan one for MLK day on the 19th. I think many of us will not have work/school that day?
  • Jessica

Thanks Lady Bug :) I actually went to the Ervan Chew Dog Park today. Kirby had a blast! There was actually a cardi there named Stanley so they had fun together.
  • Cowboy Hope

MLK day sounds great !!! How is 10 am at Congressman Bill Archer Bark Park off Hwy 6 north of I-10?
  • Cowboy Hope

We could do a different park if that is better there is one off 610 and west park or in pearland off 288 just ideas

  • JanRich

Hello, I'm new! When are you guys having a meet up? I've never been to one or even a dog park and my dog needs some serious socializing! She has issues!
  • JanRich

Which Houston dog park has the swimming hole and agility equipment? I have noticed several people with pictures from there.
  • Sarah C.

I think that's the one at the Bush park. I haven't been there yet! :)
President's day is on the 16th of February, maybe that would be a cool day to meet up. I won't have school that day and I'll be one day fresh from my vacation to Vegas, woooo.
  • JanRich

I found a park on the west side with dog bone shaped ponds and it has agility equipment. I am going to talk my husband into taking me and Penny there later this afternoon. It is north of i-10 on Hwy 6. It will take me almost an hour to get there! But I don't care! I hope Penny has fun.
  • JanRich

On second thought, it is a little chilly for this kind of activity today! Maybe we'll go somewhere closer and without a pond!
  • JanRich

Ok, so we took Penny to the Maxey dog park and she had a GREAT time! Pictures are posted.
  • Mister Jack

    Jan,
The park near I-10 and highway 6 is the Bill Archer BarkPark. It's a great place! Jack loves it! I hope we can all have a meet up soon! :)
  • JanRich

Ok great! I think I have talked my husband into going all the way out there on Saturday! Probably early afternoon-ish. Like 2 or so. Hopefully the weather will be nice. Maybe we'll see some of you there.
  • Sarah C.

I might be able to make it this saturday if it's nice out. :)
  • Mister Jack

It's supposed to be nice Saturday. There's an expected warm up! Hooray! :) Jack and I may show up on Saturday around 1 or 2. :3
  • JanRich

Bill Archer Bark Park around 2pm on Saturday. Awesome!
  • Mister Jack

    Great! See y'all then!
  • Cowboy Hope

we'll be there too, today at 2 p.m.
  • JanRich

Dog park pictures from Saturday in my photo section!
  • Mister Jack

    Jan,
The photos are amazing! Thank you for posting them! I was wondering, what type of camera was used? I'm in the market for a new one, and those pictures are just wow worthy!
  • Cowboy Hope

Thank you for the pictures JanRich they are amazing :)
  • JanRich

Wow, thanks for the nice comments guys. Those pictures were taken with a Canon 50D digital SLR. I don't really know how to use it, but we do have a Canon XTi that I am more comfortable with and it also takes good pictures. The similar model that is out now is the XSi, since the XTi is older.
  • JanRich

I took Penny to the Pearland Dog Park today. She did great! She actually got on the agility stuff. A first for her! Mama is proud! She's still wary of other dogs, but she still had fun. Pictures are up.
  • Sarah C.

Aww, that means I missed yall! Which pearland Dog Park, Independence or the one by 288?
  • Sarah C.

Nevermind! I see it was independence. Next time you think to head out, give me a shout. It's close to my house :)
  • JanRich

    ok!
  • JanRich

Penny went to Independence Park again yesterday and had a rough time. She got run over by a very energetic doberman multiple times and the pugs ganged up on her (they just wanted to play). For a shy dog it was traumatizing. Maybe next time will be better.
  • Jessica

Try Ervan Chew park. It's very small, but I take my 6 month old corgi there and he plays with a one year old cardigan. He loves it! Maybe you could come some time and they all three can play.
  • Alicia

    Hello
  • Sarah C.

    Hi!
  • Mister Jack

Hi Draftkat! Welcome to the group. :)
  • JanRich

I drove by the Baytown Bark Park site the other day and it seems to be pretty slow going. One little section of the perimeter fencing is up. And that's it. It is in the same park as some baseball fields so there are bathrooms and a parking lot and playground already. I guess they need to run water lines for the doggie part before the rest of the fence goes up? Who knows, but I can't wait until it is open. It will be sooo close to my house!
  • JanRich

I drove by the Baytown Bark Park location yesterday and it looks like they have completed the perimeter fencing and gates. That's improvement from last month! Just thought I'd give y'all an update.
  • Beth

Hi everyone! I just joined, and wanted to say Hi.
  • Sarah C.

At Pearland Independence Park, on march 28th, they're going to have a Paws in the Park day. There's going to be vendors, give aways, costume contests, obedience demonstrations, Rescue Dog demonstrations, K9 unit demonstations, Agility, Flyball, and a fun run. Several rescues also come to the event.
Read all about it at http://pearlandparks.com . Hope to see some people there. :)
  • Mister Jack

    Sarah,

Jack and I are planning to go to Paws In The Park. :)
  • Sarah ♥'s Sadie

It's the 28th and 29th. We will probably end up going on Sunday. :)
