DeeDea & Pudge the class is pricey so I want make sure that the class is awesome! How did your first class go? Are you in the puppy one? I was looking to enroll in the good manners beginning class. :) Let me know!!!

We did good dog manners with Andrea and it was awesome. Class isn't too big, area you meet in is nice and our trainer was amazing. We are starting basic agility tonight (which has good dog manners as the pre-req). So if you wanna do agility, you might want to make sure its the same place you do your basic obedience! 

CORGI at shelter

there is a pem corgi at the Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services. I called at about 1:40pm today 12/6 and they said she was still there. let me know if any of you are about to pick her up

I m so glad someone is taking her! I would have fostered her myself, and if all else falls through please keep me in mind!

It's fixed now. Big dogs and smaller ones have their separate areas again.

Saturday, March 29th at 9:30 AM at Bay Area Park--having a small corgi meetup, the more the merrier!

We will be at (another) agility trial this weekend if any of you would like to come down and watch in Santa Fe/Alvin.  The trial is Friday evening from 5 to 8ish and Saturday /Sunday from 8 AM to about 5:00 PM and you can come by anytime. It is always a lot of fun and I am hopelessly addicted! This is a CPE agility trial and if any of you are in training, it is a good place to start trialing. Everyone is super supportive and not so competitive. We will be at another trial next weekend in Houston. Both are outdoors on grass so the weather may be wet this weekend! We are going to go to the Dog Day at the Astros game in late April if anyone cares to join us. We have been a couple of times and had a blast! Can you imagine if we had a pack of corgis!

Hola everyone! I am getting the weekend plans setup and I wanted to know what location is the park at? I see one in Pasadena, Clear lake, and Webster. We are headed to Houston for Saturday and trying to see if we can make it out to visit everyone. We hope to see everyone soon.

I'm so sorry that we missed this weekend's meetup. We spent more time in the Katy area than we planned to, but there is always next time. I have a question...has anyone experienced one of their corgis losing hair on the ear tips? Kayli lost hair in that area recently, red areas where bare skin is exposed, and her ears were warmer than usual (Yes I do look at that). Through all this she did not favor her ears for pain, itchiness, or soreness. Did the vet visit and we think it was a food allergy and fungal thing. We switched her back to her regular food and have her on an anti-fugal pill and things are back to normal. no redness, ears are cool to the touch and looks like hair is already coming back.

My questions has anyone seen this. I heard from the vet the Beaumont/Port Arthur is know to have dog ear problems, but I wanted to see if anyone heard of this too.

Has anyone been to the Kitty Hollow Bark Park in Missouri City off Highway 6? We were thinking about checking it out this weekend but wondered if anyone could give us any details.

Anyone planning any meets at Bill Archer or Meyer Park any time soon? I heard about the Boneyard Drinkery meet up on Aug 2nd, but unfortunately I work on nights during the weekends so I wouldn't be able to take my pup. If there is anything else going on please let me know! Thanks 

On the official mycorgi fb page this morning a couple of us had never heard of a Houston meetup then in my gmail I got a link to here. I 'liked' this page but at the time the most recent post was dated 2011.

Are there any meetups in the Johnson Space Center area? We have a great dog park down here on Armand Bayou at Bay Area Dog Park on Bay Area Blvd a couple miles east of I 45.

I am thinking of taking my two corgis to the Bill Archer dog park this Saturday (July 26th). Please let me know if anyone is interested so we can set a time!

Hey Lynette - there are a few of us in the JSC area. We've done a few meet ups at the Bay Area Dog Park, the last one we had was about a month ago. Probably a good time to start setting another one up soon. :D

That would be great! All my girls love to go up there & socializing. We got to Bay Area doggie park every Sunday morning at 8:00 am or a little thereafter.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a pool party get together for corgis & their parents. We could grill out & do a potluck for the sides.

I have a beautiful backyard & a huge pool & we could have a great day swimming with our corgis & having a social day for us parents.
