    Heather,

Brandi Fenton Park sounds good. Let's make it 9am, would that work? I hope to see a lot of Corgis there!

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

    No more Phoenix meet up's?

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Gromit & Sparle hate going out now except late in the evening.  For us it's too hot now, even after dark seems too warm.   I spray Gromit with a little water before our 10:00 PM walkies.

  • Cheryl Boiko

I would love to come to a meetup!  I know it's really hot, so it would probably have to be during evening hours, later evening...I joined mycorgi.com farily recently, and missed out on the spring meetups.  I certainly understand if it's too hot, but will definately attend any fall meetups if I can.  I joined mycorgi.com and Arizona Corgis so I could see corgis.  I don't have one of my own, but really love them and am always looking for opportunities to play with them.

  • Frank Eibl

Hi Cheryl.  Glad to hear from you again.  Hope to see you at the fall meet-ups.  Toby says HI, too !

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

Yeah... We have been going to the dog park at about 7pm now... even then we have 15mins of sun setting in our eyes!

We have yet to invest in the cobra misters for outdoor hang outs!

  • Heather Ng

    Hi Regina,

We will see you on 8/4 at 9am in Tucson.  Thanks!  Heather

  • Cheryl Boiko

No, I live in north central Phoenix - near the Squaw Peak Hilton resort. Are you looking to start a corgi meet up out there?

  • Nick&Scoot

Well Mr Scoot has forced my hand on this, I really did not want to but it is time for him to get the snippy snip.  He wont stop marking in the house and this is the last option to control it.  I talked to the vet and he said it would probably completely stop it but if not it will greatly reduce how much he pisses in the house.

Does anyone have any info on this place?

    http://www.spayyourpets.com/

Its only like %75 to get him fixed with pain meds and Ill probably get him microchiped as well.

In Texas they had a thing like this and I heard alot of horror stories about it.  Dont want anything dab to happen to my best buddy.

  • Kelly & Dusty

Are there any Corgis in Tucson that go to the Udall dog park?

  • astro, starla, joleene & jason

WOWZAS! I have not been in this group in furever!

  • Katie

I took Foxey to one in Glendale and they were awesome! I didn't think about the fact that I made her appointment for presidents day but they took great care of her. I also was nervous to do it because for months she had been fixed and I didn't know if she had put on the weight the dr wanted or if she was well enough but I talked to the dr performing the surgery and he checked her out as well
  • Regina Scholz

Kelly: Baxter has been to the Udall park. Not recently, because of the heat, but he would like to go again. Let's meet up some time. Do you have regular hours?

  • Kelly & Dusty

Regina: I work afternoon/night shifts, so we usually go in the morning. But we could always meet up on a day off! I wish I would've known about this site prior to the Corgi meet up in August! Dusty loves the park, especially when there are other dogs his size! =]

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

Anyone for a hang session in Phoenix?

  • Cheryl Boiko

I'd love a "hang session" in the Phoenix area with corgis! Anything to be with the little sweeties! It will be cooler soon too. It would have to be on a weekend for me. The corgi picnic is coming up soon too - Sunday, Oct 21st.

Fantastic photos, Doug.  It surely was an awesome day.  Can you put a link from my photos from Facebook on here?  I don't know how to do it.  Thanks, Frank.

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Frank, just copy the link to your Facebook page and paste it into a comment here.  No big deal.

I changed the listing to 'public', so everyone should be able to access it now.  Sorry.

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Admit it, Frank, Toby figured it out for you!

  • Frank Eibl

You're right, Doug.  Gotta admit it, he's way smarter than I am.  LOL

  • Micheal & Sampson

    Picnic photos
Hey guys I am posting up my pictures from the picnic. The FaceBook folder should be open to the public. You are welcome to add the names of your dogs if you want. By the end I couldnt remember everyone sorry.

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Fun photos, Michael.  One can never see too many corgi pictures!  I was going to add the name of a corgi or two that I recognized but the usual comment spot wasn't to be found.

  • Micheal & Sampson

Yeah I actually never knew that about facebook. Only friends can 'like' or comment on photos even if they are public sorry.

  • Frank Eibl

Just a reminder of the Holiday Pet Festival at WestWorld in Scottsdale AZ this coming Saturday - Dec 1, 2012, from 10 am to 5 pm.  FREE.  Their website is  www.holidaypetfestival.com  and has a form to fill out to bring your Corgi, or other pet.  Hope to see you all!!!  Frank Eibl and Toby.

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

Hey all we are trying to start a phoenix meet up group for anyone near or in the area! all the fun seems to be happening in Tucson so we are looking for anyone in the phoenix area to join!

    http://mycorgi.com/group/arizonacorgiplaymeetupgroup

  • Cheryl Boiko

Yes, yes I would be very interested in a Phoenix corgi meet up!! Anything to be with corgis! I'm the one who doesn't have a corgi and is always looking for opportunities to cuddle and love everyone else's. It would have to be on a weekend for me. Sunday would probably be the best for me, but Saturday could work too. The park where we had our corgi picnic in October was a nice location.
  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

It was fun meeting new people at the PetSmart Pet Expo!

  • Frank Eibl

It was a super turnout for the PetSmart Pet Expo.  Saw lots of friends and Toby had a super fun day - though he slept all the way home.  lol.

    Excellent Christmas photo, S,N&B!

  • Cheryl Boiko

Oohhhhh! Brody is so precious in his Christmas picture! Another corgi darling. I just want to hug and kiss him like I do with Doug's precious Gromit and Sparkle. What a gorgeous coat and such beautiful markings.

If any of you watch corgis on YouTube you may have seen a most precious red and white Pembroke named Goro who lives in Japan. He even has his own channel, Goro@Welsh corgi. His owner is Sirowan. I guarantee he will charm you and break your heart. Sirowan has been posting videos of Goro since he was a puppy, and he is now 7 years old. Now he has some serious, but fixable, health problems. He needs surgery by the end of March, but it is very expensive, probably ove $10,000. Many viewers are so hurt his life is in danger and want to help. Maybe MyCorgi.com would be interested in helping this special little guy. From the postings on YouTube apparently CorgiPals has been contacted to try to set something up for Goro. His owner, Sirowan, speaks no English, so apparently someone at CorgiPals who speaks Japanese is trying to contact him. I didn't find anything on the CorgiPals website, but there is a posting and some comments (including one of mine) on their Facebook site. You would need to go to the "Posts by Others" section of their Facebook site, not the Timeline to see a link to the Goro YouTube video "Goro must operate for a disease" and the comments. I would love to donate to help this little guy, and want to do it safely (since it would probably be done over the internet) and in such a way to know that the money would go directly for Goro. I hope everyone sees this so we who love corgis can help this very special little corgi.  I'll also post this message on the MyCorgi.com general site and MyCorgi Facebook site.

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

Lets have a PHOENIX meet up!!

  • Dexter, Marple, Dennis and Nancy

Yes, lets!   It's been a long, long time since we've been to one.

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

I have posted a discussion up so hopefully we'll get a few more biters!

  • Frank Eibl

If not before - the Phoenix Pet Expo at the Cardinal's Stadium is Sat, April 20, and pets are welcome.  A great event.  Toby and I will be there.

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

We can't wait for the pet expo! to all who are reading this.... The Pet Expo is an event definitely worth going to! See you there Frank and Toby!! :D
