We are a young couple in our fiftys. Our two legged kids are out on thier own so we devote most of our free time to our four legged ones. We have three, a Great Dane (Joni Bell) a Collie Lab mix (Ollie Ann) and our Corgi Fence Climber mix, (BEAR). We are contractors with United Van Lines and travel all over the U.S.A.. Although, we leave the girls home with the house/dog sitter, Bear never leaves our side.
We rescued Bear from death row at our local dog pound and we both truly believe that he knows it. He is the most loyal dog either of us have ever known and almost always does everything he is told to do. Although, if he does not want to do as he is told he becomes stiff and moves very slow. We call it the robot walk.
Last year Petsmart had a photograph of a Corgi on the cover of it's calender that looked just like Bear and it is our wish to find the owner of the Cover Dog and and hopefully get some mix information.
Great pictures!!!! Bear looks like he could be a hand full at times. My favorite picture is where he's dressed to go to the Oscars in his tux!!! I can tell he's looking for his date!! LOL
Thanks for the compliment. Timmy is quite the ham too! I imagine Bear has peed in almost every state right!? My first german shepherd who traveled extensively with me throughout the country had the distinction of peeing in 34 states and four countries in her life time!!! LOL Looking at your pictures is a reminder of the trip of a lifetime for me many years ago when I took off three months and went from coast to coast and back again. Ahhhhhhh, the memories. Thanks for sharing
Hey there! Enjoyed Bears page, pictures and about you young folks. My baby and I are, also, young and in our 50s,enjoying life and our lab mix and our first corgi.Life is good!

Hi Tammey & Caven,
I really loved your pictures of Bear. What an adventurous life he lives! I can bet that Bear is a tri-colored corgi and Tibetan Spaniel mix. Below is a pic of corgi/tibetan spaniel mix with a summer cut and also a full breed Tibetan Spaniel....
Thank you for your message. Bear looks so happy traveling around. Berger most envy him, cause he doesn't have chance to get out of Tokyo. Enjoy your driving!
WOW! You have the best of both worlds...a corgi in rotty clothing! Who could ask for more! You won't see much of me because I feel silly being a member of a corgi site without actually having a corgi, but it's the best way for me to see my grand-dog. I LOVE your pics of Bear! Let me know if you ever get tired of him. (I won't hold my breath) What a wonderful life!
This dog has quite the personality! This is your one of a kind dog. Freddie won't get in water anywhere, and I wish he would. Bath time is a nightmare.
I love the pictures! A very lucky dog.

Hi there, love your pics. Especially "Superman Corgi!" Is the beach in TX? We've always wondered if Corgis could swim..having such short legs. Aren't they just the most awesome dogs?
Haha, I hope the milk didn't ruin your keyboard! :) If Bear didn't have that Rottie coloring, he would look all Corgi. And his coat length so similar to Griffy's Fluffy coat. (Seriously lovin all of the pics! Looks like such a little ham!)
Hi Tammy and Caven! Bear's a lucky pup. Thanks for giving him the chance at life that he and all companion animals deserve. It's no surprise that he has shown you both such loyalty. Looks like a great dog! You've done a terrific job capturing his character in your photos.
There are several rescue groups on Amelia Island (north Florida) where Jack and I reside, thank goodness. These people volunteer to foster, never earning a dime, giving wholly of themselves, digging deep into their own pockets to do what needs to be done to save these innocent souls. Our Humane Society is a no-kill shelter and does a great job with abandoned animals, but the county's Animal Control is utterly out of control! The animals there scarcely have a chance at finding homes, due to county politics, lack of funding, and irresponsible pet ownership. Our Mia was first dumped at Animal Control, but LUCKILY one of our wonderful rescue groups scooped her up and saved her life! I saw her photo in the newspaper, called the same day, and brought her home the next. That was November 9, 2006. We haven't looked back, only forward, grateful to have saved her.
You wrote to Jack and I: "We brought you a new neighbor recently. Just up the beach a bit St Simon Island. What a beautful area!" Do you mean that you've moved there? If so, you're very close by!
Hello again! You had asked about our black/tan dachshund and whether or not we take her kayaking with us. So far, Sadie hasn't gone kayaking with us, but she will. The photos of our Corgi, Mia, kayaking were taken before we got Sadie. As Sadie was a wee one (9 weeks old) when we got her in October 2007, and we weren't sure how big or how long she'd be as an adult (she's a standard, not a mini), we decided to hold off until she was finished growing. Then, we'll invest in a good quality life preserver for her and take her with us. She turned 1 year old in mid-August 2008, so we'll be outfitting her soon! :-)
Hi Tammey, That was Emilys litter. Those were the baby pictures and that is Em's Mom! She had a huge litter. I wish I would have gotten one more! I would love to have two! That would have been a blast!
You have wonderful pictures. Thank you for posting them on the website. I have just posted 8 pictures of our corgi's' and will in time add my current 2. Fiddler (Beagle) and Rusty (Manchester) in which I rescured from abusive and abandoned life. God Bless you and have a wonderful day. Bud
LOL, well, I guess they are naturally quite the characters huh? LOL Oh my god, I love it, yours in a tux singing karaoke! Priceless! I think Bear and Uno must be brothers from another mother. He even has the proud banner of a tail like Uno! Awesome! If in your travels you are in Virginia, we have to meet up! Rose
