Welcome Jason! Just read your post. Here is my advice.....feed him his meals, spend time with him on walks, you holding the leash.....maybe even use the leash in the house while doing training sessions in the house.....and of course reward him with yummy treats for doing things right.....remember training sessions should be short for his age you dont want to overdo it at that age. You could always have some treats on hand while you are sitting watching tv and when he comes to you, give him a treat, but not every time. Hope these are some helpful tips you can use. Remember sometimes corgis can get jealous of you getting too close to your spouse so you may want to make sure that is not happening, if he starts getting jealous, let him know right away that is not acceptable....a stern NO should help. Welcome to the site! Happy Thanksgiving! My family lives in the Vancouver area. Lots of rain for the corgis to play in. I wish you good luck with your little guy. Lots of patience and love is my advice. My aussie came to us not abused but really scared none the less. We got him the end of August and he particularly was afraid of my husband. Now he comes up and gives him puppy kisses and only gets nervous when he hears the "dad voice" as we call it lol. Good luck.
