    Hi Nancy,

    Yes it was Leptosprosis, we lost 3 dogs in the neighbor hood last fall from one infected skunk that roamed. Unfortunately this in one of those vaccinations that are not normally given to dogs because it is so rare and the test is very expensive to check your dogs for it. Our dogs are now vaccinationed for Leptos every year and we recommend it to any dog owner that has skunks in the area that there dogs walk.
