I am a HUGE corgi lover who works at a doggy daycare in Perrysburg. I have one sable corgi, a handsome boy named Edison (Eddy), and I'd love to meet up with other corgi lovers!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Edison was born 11/30/2006 to Tessa and Max at Applejack Kennels. He's a lightly-dusted sable with a pink spot on his nose that looks like South America. His nicknames are Eddy, Ed, Squarepants, Edwardo, and Eddybear. He loves his kitties and while he can be standoffish towards strangers, he warms up very quick. He sleeps with his legs splayed out behind him or on his back with his legs in the air. He usually sleeps curled around my head on top of a fluffy pillow.
He's very close with his brother Dexter, who is owned by my best friends and lives as an only dog with them in Cleveland. Dexter was born 01/05/2009 to Tessa and Mork at Applejack Kennels. He's a flashy black-headed tricolor.
hi nice to meet another toledo area corgi.......so far i have come in contact with only 1 other toledo area corgi owner thru this site....maybe we should start a nw ohio grp so our corgis can meet and play
Hi Kerstyne,
I can't believe what I'm reading in your profile.....my little Nellie was born at Applejack too! Tessa is her mother and Max is her father! I loved working with Sue! We live in Sylvania near Olander Park....I'd love to meet!
Hi Kerstyne,
I just had a chance to look through all of your photos, and you can sure see the family traits in Edison and Nellie! I can't believe they have the same Mom and Dad! Your little Dexter is adorable . . . . I have been thinking about adding a tri-color to our "pack" but haven't recovered from Nellie's puppy stage yet. Maybe next year! I'd love to talk with you about how it has been raising two dogs as we have only Nellie. You sure have two cuties!
This just keeps getting better and better . . . . . we live on Gettysburg, nearly across McCord from you! So a meeting would be so easy . . . . I get home from work around 4:00 pm most days and Bryan and I are home on weekends. What is your schedule like? We have a fenced in backyard and would be glad to host a meeting sometime . . . . .let me know what you think?
As far as training goes . . . . . Nellie took me to the mat! I have never raised a puppy and it was an eye opener. We found a wonderful trainer out in Swanton who worked with me as much as with Nellie. And we take her there twice a month for "play days". She comes home so tired and Lisa (trainer) thinks it's really good for her. Anyway, can't wait to meet sometime soon!
Hi Kerstyne,
I too am laughing about the irony in this . . . . .thank goodness for this website! I'm going to send you an email through the website with some info in it. Looking forward to talking with you soon!
Hi Kerstyne,
I too enjoyed the afternoon! I posted a comment on the Toledo Area Corgi group page ( don't know if you get notified when comments are made or not?). Also posted a few photos on my page from the day.
Can't wait to do it again!

LOVE the one ear up and one ear down photos of Dexter! He is too cute! Makes me want to get a tri-color pup of my own . . . . .guess I'll have to talk to Susan about that! Good to see her on this site too!
