About Me:
Name is Katie. It's been a while since I have been on this website, but i'm gettin' back into the groove of things. I'm attending college, trying to decide between an environmental degree or a teaching degree. Benjamin is my constant and most beloved best friend. I love connecting with people who feel the very same about their beautiful furry companions.

About My Corgi(s):
I acquired Benjamin 2 years ago. He will be 3 years on Feb 27. He is my best friend and confidant. A never ending ball of happiness, rambunctiousness, and a hilarious sense of humor. My day just doesn't feel complete unless i'm coming home to his corgi smile at the end of the day.

    Congratulations on your graduation and your new best friend! Benjamin is too cute for words. Best to you on your career and canine endeavors!

    Takes lots of pictures.
    Put enormous effort into training; it will ALL pay off.
    I wish I'd made more deliberate plans: Make a vocabulary list of all the commands you want your dog to learn, write down the cues and criteria for success. Make sure everybody in the dog's live is with the program and on the same page (my wife and I made this mistake; we didn't have our acts coordinated, treated the dogs a little differently, give mixed messages and got crossed results). Plan your work and work your plan. Keep a training logbook.
    Gorgeous dog. Al & Gwynn say "aarf".
    Get a soccer ball. An expendable one.

    Welcome Kathryn and Benjamin! He sure is cute! My daughter will be 18 in Sept and also just graduated; technically SIdney is her dog :)

    If you like rain, Seattle was still a reasonably nice place to live back in 1976, before all of California moved up here. All my friends saw the writing on the wall and fled in the late '80s, early '90s. Now it's so crowded, we call it "Los Angeles del Norte". But everyplace is like this. We've filled up the earth.

    Thank you for the compliment on Finnigan. I am very proud of him. He is everything we wanted right down to his one blue eye. I can’t imagine a more beautiful boy. He has a great personality but can be a bit rebellious. He keeps us on our toes and it’s all part of the journey. He is mine and my husband’s first dog on our own so I know how you must feel about having your Benjamin. I too have always loved Corgis (both kinds) and even though we’ve had Finn a year now, I sometimes look at hip napping by my feet and think “I can’t believe I finally have a Corgi”. Benjamin is adorable. He has a very cute face. How old is he?
  • Alice

    Yes, Corgis do have great personalities. I like that you motioned how clumsy Benjamin is. Finnigan is very clumsy too. He used to trip a lot when he was little and we thought it was just a puppy thing but he still stumbles over nothing from time to time or turns his head to fast while standing too close to something and bumps his face. :)
