Welcome! Two Cardi boys, wow. We have our hands full with one. :)

Hope to see more pictures of your boys!
  • Alice

    Thank you. :)

I haven't met many Cardis but the ones I have met have been pretty mellow, I'm beginning to wonder if it's just my Cardi who's a nut. He's a year old now, maybe another year will calm him down.
  • Alice

That's how Finnigan is, he's calm if it's just my husband and I at home but any other time such as when someone comes over or when we go for a walk he gets very excited and crazy. I met an 8 month old female Cardi the other day and she was so calm and sweet, she just climbed in my lap and went to sleep. She's actually Finn's half sister (same Dad) and I thought, how did the crazy gene skip her?

Are your boys from the same breeder?
  • Bev Levy

Thanks, your guys are beautiful! I really enjoyed looking at your pictures and I love Arabians too but don't have horses anymore and don't show. I would like to get a Cardigan next time around but I am hoping it a long way off because I love my two Pems.

    Hi Taffany!
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Hello and Welcome!! Thanks for the friend add. :)

    Your Corgis are so handsome!
  • Alice

Yes, I can see how breeding a dog sold as a pet would anger some people. Some contracts even state that if the pet becomes pregnant or fathers pups, the dog and pups can be seized by the breeder! I wouldn't want to risk something like that but obviously some people think differently.

Your boys are both beautiful. I think if we got a second it would be a girl. One of each sounds good to me. :)

Good luck with showing! I’m sure you’ll do fine. I thought I might want to get into shows but decided I wouldn’t want an unneutered male in the house, plus the expenses of showing would be too much for us. That’s ok, we’re happy just to have a Cardi for a pet. :)
  • Christine Jones

Thank you for the friend add! You have two very handsome fellows! Good luck showing Uno. Please keep me posted...I'll root for him! =)

We are in an apartment right now but as soon as we have a place with a yard, I would like to get another one. The next big decision is what color! I think I like the black and whites or the red brindles.

When do you plan to start showing Uno?
  • Alice

That's great! You'll have to let me know how it goes.
  • Geri & Sidney

Welcome Tiffany, Uno and Cooper! Your pictures are beautiful. I can't get over how much Uno looks like a wolf/fox hybrid. They are both gorgeous.
  • Cheri

You've got two handsome fellows there! I see you're in Water Corgis. Maybe I should join that group. My guy loves to swim and has actually tried dock diving, except with him it's more of a 'dock plunge'. :D

  • Cheri

Dock diving was funny. We were at Camp Dogwood, it's a camp where you can take your dog and they have tons of different activities you can try out. Since Dudley likes swimming we thought we'd try dock diving. But the day before the class, during some free time, we just went down to the beach to play. Dudley was running around playing with the other dogs while I was chatting with another gal. All of a sudden Dudley gets up on the dock and starts trotting out toward the end. The gal I'm chatting with says "Oh! Does your dog do dock diving?"

"Not to my knowledge!" is my reply. Now you'd have to know Dudley. He's a very timid boy and he never, Never, NEVER bails. He doesn't jump off anything. If you put him on a chair it's like he's in prison because he won't jump off anything that high. Because of that I don't even bother to call him back off the dock. No need, right? He doesn't jump so he's going to go to the edge, look around then come back? Right. He goes to the end of the dock, wiggles his butt, plants his feet and launches! I about swallowed my tongue! But I don't want him to know how much he scared me so I'm out there yelling "yeah Dudley! yeah buddy! way to go!" while he's swimming back to me. Then I have to put him on leash and go back to the cabin so I can have a heart attack in peace.

The next day at dock diving class I talk to the instructor about this and she says "Oh, that happens a lot. The dogs don't realize that the water isn't solid and they jump off the dock." I tell you that if Dudley had thought that water was a solid surface, he never would have jumped. She said that we'd know in class because usually they only make that mistake once. But the photo is Dudley jumping off the dock in class! He did it again! He was one of the only dogs in class that actually jumped off the end of the dock. Woo hoo!

But his first love is agility. He's really "got it" now. However I'm still learning! My handling skills need a lot of work but I'm getting there. I have to step up soon because we're fast approaching Open and that'll be a big jump for my handling. I just need to practice.
  • Cheri

Maybe you'll be able to explain all the dog show stuff to me. I'm in our local Cardigan club but I'm the only one in the group who doesn't show conformation. I only do performance events with my dogs. I have no desire to breed or have intact dogs. But they talk about all this stuff that I have no idea what it means! It's a mystery to me.
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Thanks for the sweet comment on Lance, we appreciate it. :)
  • Bev Levy

I love your comment re the red Cardis!! That I think would be the main problem with the cardigan's. I have Pembrokes and like having one of each main color. With Cardigans you can end up with a lot of dogs! I probably would not mind that but my husband would. LOL
  • Ashley, Holiday & Talieson

Hi, I have an arabian and a corgi as well, what a wonderful combination!
