Got my first Corgi, Emma, in 2007 when the empty nest set in. My husband surprised me and it was "love at first site" when Emma came leaping into my arms as I stooped to greet her. I had a bit harder time with Tucker in 2009, as he had less people contact until we got him, and he had a lot of diarrhea. I wasn't so prepared to deal with that and it was more exhausting than fun. But with good help from my husband Dave, our Vet, and our pet food store, I got through it and house training without any serious circumstances. It was a very long 8 weeks, but well worth it. He is quite the prince!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
Yes
About My Corgi(s):
Emma was born on June 7, 2007. She has beautiful markings and always has that Corgi smile. Despite the training horror stories we heard, Emma has responded very well to training. She requires persistence, but knows who is boss. I must admit though, when she is not finished checking the property she will NOT come when called. I simply have learned when I need to take her out on a lead vs. when I can allow her the freedom to check everything out. Her latest is the ole' treat-on-the-nose trick. She is so pretty as she sits up and awaits her OK command to get the goods. She is typically quick too. She would be an excellent herder, but all we have is 2 outdoor cats with whom she loves to attempt chasing games. I've said from the day we met that her beauty and great nature make her far better than any medicine to cure an illness!
May 2009 - WELCOME TUCKER! Born March 19 2009 to Honey and Reno in Kentucky, His official name is Ken Tucker Honeeno.
He and OK Emma Belle are the best thing for Dave and I since 1985 and 1987 when our boys were born. When we fell in love with Emma we knew that one day we would have another Corgi. So we decided to try a boyfriend for her. We picked up Tucker in May 2009. It took only minutes to know he and Emma would be best friends. His little tail is constantly going wild with excitement, and he is a lap dog 'almost' as much as Emma. And the competition between them for attention is hilarious. They are so much like raising my boys it's scary - but very nice that they don't talk back! ha!
