    Jacqualyn - welcome to the site! It's a great way to learn and ask questions about the breed. Before you adopt, you might want to get your potential pup tested for DM. I wish I had know about this when we got our little guy. I don't know that it would have changed our decision to take him home, but it would have been good to know what might be coming for him and us in the future. The University of Missouri has a program that is working to get this disease bred out of the breeds that get it and Corgis are one of those breeds.
