Welcome Mickey and Comet. Comet's a great corgi name.

Shedding is the only down side of corgis. Maybe some members have suggestions. All I can offer is daily brushing, plus I add a flaxseed capsule and an Omega 3 capsule to Rafa and Lucy's dinner kibble. Lucy is my first corgi that only drops her coat twice a year. The rest of the time her shedding is minimal. Rafa, my first tri, had coarser hair and it's shorter than Lucy's. He seems to shed every day; but not awful. Or, maybe it's awful but having owned corgis my whole life, maybe I don't notice.
I only found this site this year and I love it.
