About My Corgi(s):
Mila the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is my love. She's my best friend and has gotten me through a lot of tough times in my life. Our personalities rub off on each other, and we truly miss each other when we're apart for too long. She has some pretty interesting triggers, like the shower, any hissing noise or the word "ball," and she likes to bark...a lot. But you'll never meet a sweeter corgi than Miss Mila.

    Hi Lauren,

    I just am seeing your question you posted in chat now. What do you mean by swelling, does the swelling look like it has fluid in it?  Is it one ear or both?  Are her ears itching her, or bothering her in anyway?  Did your dog recently get any vaccinations?  Did the vet or dermatologist give any suggestions as what to do for her?

    Sorry for all the questions, just trying to help you out.

    Thanks for your response...does the inflammation look like there is fluid in it?  Lance was diagnosed with auto immune mediated disease.  He had fluid like blisters in his ears, they needed to be drained but would fill right back up.  He also now has floppy ears from this.  Another sign something was wrong was lance had lost weight, down to 23 pounds snd he was suppose to weigh 30, since he is a cardigan. Lances ears were very painful to him  with hid hematomas (looked like balloons in his ears!!!)

    Ok, I was typing from my phone and had to switch to the computer, much easier to type here.  Yes, steroids, make them very thirsty and gain weight and they also cannot hold their pee, when they have to go they have to go.  Lance has been dealing with his issues for a year now....he goes to the vet once a month, as of right now its under control but no telling what will make it flare up again or when.  He is on three different meds, one being predisone, which he is on a low dose of now, have been weaning him off of it, since its not the best thing to be on long term, but had to up one of his other meds to compensate for the predisone being lowered.  He is going in tommorrow for a recheck at the vets.

    The inside of Lances ears kind of look like cauliflower.  His ears were really red too when this all started at first.  The vet also ran blood tests when this all first started happening as well.  Oh, Lance was also diagnosed with vasculitis of the ears, which affects the blood flow in the ears, Im not sure if that is making his ears flop or the auto immune issues.  Well, if you have any more questions for me, please let me know.  I hope you are able to find the cause to whats going on.  Shes such a sweet looking corgi....love all her pics.  :)

    Please dont hesitate to ask me more questions.  Its late here and  I am going to get some sleep now.

    Are her ears really red as well? Hmmm, getting stung by something, I'm surprised that he used steroids for that, I would think you would use beneadryl for a sting, interesting.  When on steroids, they should not be stopped without weaning them off of it first.  ok

    after re reading your response, I wanted to say Lance started off with one ear that swelled and then the other ear swelled as well.  (hematomas).  Talk to you soon.

    P.S.  Would love to see a pic of  her with her floppy ears!
