About Me:
I'm Jeri and I live in Kentucky with Dani, my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, my boyfreind and his corgi-pom; Jaina. I adopted Dani when she was re-homed to me the age of 1 and a half. She still has a lot of puppy in her, and we still have a lot of training to do. But that's okay, because Dani is willing and ready to learn.

No
About My Corgi(s):

    Welcome.  You have nice dogs.  Are you a native Kentuckian?  I grew up in S. E. Ky (Floyd Co.).

    I remember natural bridge.  I went to school in 2 states, KY & MI, then off to CA, TX and AL for work.  I had a lot of friends in TX and thought of moving back there but it is too darn hot.  I like the AL climate and it was closer to KY and OH which I have relatives. The last 2 years it has been as hot as Hell here but maybe that won't continue.  This summer hasn't been as bad as last but we have 2 potentially hot months to go so who knows.  I still like it here.  Last year I flew to Louisville and a friend picked me up and we went to Floyd co. for a hometown reunion.  I didn't get to see as many people as I wanted to and want to go back when I can.  In the past, I have had friends to feed my dogs when I am away but Randy is such a big rambunctious boy than almost no one can handle him.  He and I have been to beginning training twice and he is 21 mo. old so is finally settling down.  If I weren't spending a lot of time getting dental work done, I would take him to intermediate.  He is extremely smart and learns anything quickly but tends to bounce all over the place a good deal of the time.  He is getting better but he is my baby and I would do almost anything to provide good care.  I fixed them a new tennis type ball in 2 socks and they are tugging and fighting over it.  I have some sort of a corgi mix also.  she is a little older but plays some with him.

    Welcome Jeri and Dani!

    Hi Jeri, and thank you for your compliment about Sidney's tail. Here in the US, nobody really gets a say. The breeders have to dock by the time the pups are about 4 days old! We got lucky in that Sid's breeder had to go in for emergency dental work and could not get the docking done within the window of time. I love that he has his tail! I've heard some breeders will "hold" a pup and not dock if you pay up front. I'm pretty sure I'll do this when the time comes to add another corgi to the family.
