I'm sorry for your loss. Its hard and your going through a real hard time w/money right now...great combination for double depression. If you think your able to feed this dog and explain to your vet that money is extremely tight right now I think they will work with you. Mostly that dog in the shelter needs is love and a home. You and he need each other. He can help fill that void of loneliness and he needs you for the same reason. BUT...do what you feel is in the best interest for him. If you truly can not afford it then don't do it because it will only be worse on him if you need to replace him and you'll be crushed to have to let him go. Only you have the answer. Is he young? Has he had a full work up as far as vaccinations, heartworm prevention, neutered, and dewormed w/flea prevention? If so he should be good to go for awhile. I hope this helps in easing the decision and brings a brighter light at the end of the tunnel. Please let me know.

I suffer cabin fever big time. Once the sun comes out and you can spend some time outdoors it does make you feel so much better. In the winter is when I buckle down and really work on my computer stuff and settting me up for when the nice weather arrives I can slack off quite a bit. It helps keep your mind going and being focused on something you want to reach really does make you feel good when you make progress. I think the shelter Corgi was meant to be. In someways we want them for we feel sorry for them and that makes us want to jump into it. When the time is right..the right one will be there and it will all work out. I know some try to get new things to make themselves feel better but that is always just short lived. All in all...glad the little guy found a home. Good luck with your plans. They say Bananas are a mood food....add them into your daily diet. hugs
