I'm a college student, majoring in history... I like to shop & read... and play with my baby, Rustee. :)
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
I'm a proud owner of a Blue Merle Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Rustee. :)
She's two years old, and I've had her for almost two years. She's one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet in your life. She's really laid back, and she's the perfect dog for me. :)
Rustee has her AKC papers, but I don't show her. Actually, Rustee is a mis-marked Corgi. How I got her was my mom wanted a Cardi for a really long time, and after our Border Collie/Australian Sheep dog mix, got put down. It took a couple of years until my mom decided to adopt another dog.
She decided to try to adopt a Cardi, and the adoption agency said that the dog she was trying to adopt, was a dog more for an older couple. (My mother is very active, she wanted a dog to walk, and the dog, laid around a slept a lot... which is too far off from the dog she did adopt, haha ;) The lady at the agency said the breeder she works with had a mis-marked Cardi up for adoption, and we got her. Her name is Rhyfe (it's like "groovy" without the "g." It's short for another name, which I can't spell, but it's Welsh for "funny girl." Rhyfe was named Oddball while she was still with her breeders.) A few years later, my dad accepted a job out of state, and we had to move. My dad left a earlier then we did, and so I guess my mom was lonely or bored, and cruised the internet more. She found a picture of Rustee on the website of the breeder that we got Rhyfe from, and I feel in love with her. I e-mailed the breeder to let her know I was interested in Rustee. It took a month of begging pleading, but my parents finally caved. In November 2008, I got my dog Rustee. :) A cool thing with Rustee & Rhyfe, Rhyfe is actually Rustee's "Aunt." Yes, aunt. One of Rhyfe's litter mates is Rustee's mom. With Rhyfe, a black and white dog, they couldn't show her because she had too much white on her body, and Rustee couldn't been shown because she has no markings on her face. Now Rustee & Rhyfe can't be seperated! :)
Rustee has pretty blue eyes, and a white face, with one ear white and the other tannish color. Her body is grayish, brownish, and a little bit blackish. I love her, she is the best! =)
Glad to see more pics of Rustee. Her white face with blue eyes and "eyeliner" makes her look exotic. What a pretty girl. :)
That's funny about your Mom having Rustee's aunt. When we were waiting for Finn's litter to be born the breeder said someone returned a 10 month old blue merle male to him because he was to be a show dog until one of his ears flopped down. He offered him to us but we decided we wanted the experience of raising a puppy so we would wait. I showed the picture of the 10 month old to my Mom and even though her and my stepdad said they had no plans of getting a dog, they fell in love with him and drove out to New Mexico the next day to get him. His name is Quinn. I have a couple pics of him posted. He is Finnigan's half brother, same Dad, different Mom's. I guess Cardis just run in the family. :)
