I had developed a fascination with Corgis when I say the Anime "Cowboy Bebop", which has a male Pembroke Corgi named "Ein" as one of its central characters. I wanted a male Pembroke of similar color, and to name him "Ein". Sad, i know. My wife liked the idea of a Corgi, but also wanted a Cocker Spaniel. Bleck.
Me and my wife have been married for 3 years. No kids yet, though we're thinking our pup needs a human brother or sister! I work at Walmart, and write and teach a weekly Discipleship Class at my church. My wife is a homemaker and a Children's Pastor.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Addison Isabella ( alias: Addy-Bell, Bell-Bell, the Roomba, or sometimes just Corgi ) is a female tri-color Welsh Corgi. She is 1 year old, spayed, and unregistered. She is full of energy ( read: full of it! ); a regular 3-ring circus on 4 legs. Addy is shy around adults she doesn't know, but very friendly and outgoing with kids and other animals, cats included ( though cats don't often appreciate this for some reason). She is too smart for her own good - Corgi-proofing our house took alot of trial, error, and occasional continuing security updates. She is very smart and knows the names for several things, and many commands as well - although she doesn't usually do them unless she feels like it or you have a treat in your hand.
We found Addy-Bell at a local animal shelter when she was about 4 months old. The people running the shelter told us she was a Cardigan since she had a tail (the believed wrongly that all Pembrokes were born with little to no tail) - but I've come to believe she is actually an undocked Pembroke after some research and comparing her to other Corgis, though my wife still thinks she's a Cardigan. But, since I set up this page, I'm listing her as a Pembroke :p
Addy loves flying insects (buggies), dirty socks, toys that squeek or jingle, snow, ice cubes, cats, other dogs, kids, whatever food you're eating, car rides, playing keep-away with something of yours, making a nest under the futon, tissues out of the garbage can, and licking your feet right after you shower. She doesn't like Semi-trucks, vaccuum cleaners, fireworks, crowds of people, or being held so she can't get away.
At least she didn't pee on your bed. Ricky/Rafa peed on our bed twice, when he knew better. I'm happy to say that that has stopped. Yay, Ricky. He's now a year old and is starting to outgrow some of that yucky adolescent behavior. good dog, ricky.
