About Me:
I am retired from both state service and a local university and now work for Habitat for Humanity in my local town. We have a 10 year old Jack Russell and wanted a Corgi for our 16 yr old daughter. Didn't realize the two breeds might not get along!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
We have a beautiful 7 month old Corgi we bought for our 16 yr old daughter. Beautiful dog but having trouble with behaviors such as being very aggressive when eating and biting. My husband has been bitten 3 times and me once. I was just petting her and she reached back and bit my index finger. Would like to try and correct these behaviors.
I have:
Pembroke

    Is your JRT aggressive? Did he bite before you introduced your corgi? I'm trying to understand if it's just your new corgi puppy that's behaving aggressively or both. How does your JRT respond to your corgi puppy's aggressiveness? Do you have puppy obedience classes nearby?

    Have you spoken with the corgi's breeder?

    6 weeks is young. was there a reason the owner sold her to you at that age. we re-homed rafa so i know nothing about his breeder and breeding. i suspect that he too was separated early from his mom as he has no boundaries with our 4 yo corgi, lucy. he's always pestering her and has behaviors that probably would have been corrected by his mom. however, he is not at all aggressive & we have kept him only because he is so sweet. he is very destructive inside and out and is very stubborn. he's also an escape artist. but unfortunately he's gotten under our skin, LOL.
