About Me:
Hello fellow Corgi lovers! =)

My name is Laura, and this is my first Pembroke Corgi...and he is a doll!

I am originally from Hillsborough, NJ and moved out to Warrington, PA for my career. I work in finance, and it is hectic...but I feel it's very rewarding. My boyfriend, John, will be deploying for Iraq in January and he thought it would be a good idea for me to have 'someone' around while he can't be. Chalie is the perfect addition to our home and we will anxiously be awaiting Daddy's safe return. (We've always wanted a dog, and now was the best time since I will have a lot of spare time to train!) I also have a 5 year old cat named Langdon. They weren't very fond of each other (or, I should say, Langdon was not very fond of Chalie) but slowly and surely...they are growing on each other. I guess that's all for now but I will probably be updating this site every now and then!

We LOVE our baby Chalie. <3
About My Corgi(s):
Chalie (said like Charlie, without the 'R') is my first Pembroke Corgi...and let me tell you, I am in love. I was originally a 'large breed' kinda girl...but when we saw Chalie, we knew he belonged in our little family. Since a couple people have asked, I figured that I would let everyone know that Chalie's birthday is May 28, 2008. So he's still a baby. <3

Right now we are learning the basics, and eventually, we will be attending puppy training classes when things slow down around our household. Chalie currently knows 'sit', 'stay', 'down' and 'look'. Housebreaking Chalie has been a task that we both can't seem to 'get'. Chalie doesn't understand not to go to the bathroom on my living room floor (he does, however, know the go when he is outside) and I don't yet know when he's trying to tell me that he needs to use the bathroom. We'll figure it out, patience is a virtue they say....so, I'm tryin'.

We have a pet-sitter come twice a day (my neighbor LOVES Chalie, so she is kind enough to help us out with this during the day) and we go for a 40 minute walk every night. Walking on a leash has been interesting, as Chalie doesn't want to walk away from home, but then is pulling me when we're in the direction of home. Yet another thing we'll learn together.

The only thing concerning us right now is that his left ear does not want to stand up, but our vet is advising us that after he is done teething, they should both stand erect. We hope so!

If anyone would like to share any information with me about training, or anything about their 'big dog in a medium dog's body'...please feel free to write me at LMAJ1283@hotmail.com

Cheers!
Laura, John, Chalie and Langdon.

    your Chalie looks like my Charlie! So cute! I love the little dot on his head. We call our Charlie - Chalie, Chabee, Charlie Bear, Piggy Wiggy, Piggle Wiggle and Devil Dog. His official registered name is Prince Charles of Willow Street.
