I have a 9 month old Pem named Rufus who was originally bought to be my daughter's. Graduate school intervened, and he's going to be ours semi-permanently now. We just added a little boy named Ffionn (pronounced Finn - I had to find a Welsh spelling for the name I liked) to our family from McDaniel Quarterhorses (Wyldrose Corgis) in Texas. Ffionn and Rufus have progressed from abject fear on Ffionn's part when Rufus came near to tug of war buddies. Rufus has tried vainly to get Ffionn to play chase, his favorite game, but I think we'll get there. We recently lost Chloe, our 3 year old, to lymphoma.

    How is it going with Ffionn? He is too cute! It is funny how the adult hair comes in down the back first. I had no idea! I know you said you are interested to see how much red Ffionn will have...I feel the same way about Isabella. At first, her ears were solid black. Now, from the back, there is about 1/4 inch of red and I'm seeing more and more red on her head. Makes sense since she is to be a red headed tri! Fun to watch the changes!

    Oh my gosh! I wonder how in the world he got out of his crate and down the stairs!! Unbelievable! I'm glad he's OK! It is funny to see the little pups go up and down stairs. Isabella FLEW up the stairs right away, but it took her a bit to get down. She'd weave back and forth across the stairs instead of going straight down. I guess it makes sense with the long, low body! Now, she goes more straight down, but I try to not let her do it too often.

    Sounds like Ffionn might be a true redhead. That's what we're expecting for Isabella, too. The red patches on her ears seem go grow larger every day.

    I know what you mean about the shots and going outside. Finally, we only have about 10 more days to go! I can't wait to get her out. Your day will come! Bundle up!
