About My Corgi(s):
Wally was born March 10, 2008. He's a sable colored Pembroke and just too cute for his own good! He loves sleeping under ANYTHING, or creating a little den for himself where you least expect, like in the closet in your hamper... He finds much joy in anything that squeaks, chasing or being chased, the laser pointer, ice chips, removing caps off water bottles, and rolling around in the grass. Wally LOVES the ladies and is very much the neighborhood Casanova. Wally has graduated from obedience school, passed his CGC exam and is now a certified Canine Good Citizen! Mama and Papa are VERY proud!!

Oliver came into our lives on August 20, 2010, so that's his new given birth date. He's approximately 9 1/2 (approx. 7 when we got him) and is a tri-colored Pembroke. We don't know too much about his history other than he was a stray in Riverside...and he's husky and adorable! He was quite sick when we first brought him home, but he's nice and healthy and running around now, although he does suffer from severe allergies. Oliver is a very calm and mellow dog...he loves to just lay around and be petted all day or mouth at a soft ball. He gets excited about the dog park and seems to have an affinity for Boston Terriers and large black dogs. He's a HEAVY snorer and sleeps with his tongue sticking out about 90% of the time...sometimes I wonder if he has doggy sleep apnea? He's graduated from obedience school and has his CGC as well. Oliver has the most amazing ability to detect when someone is in emotional distress. As soon as he does, he's right by the person's side, rests his chin on their lap and gives you these eyes that say "everything will be okay." Mike and I are so lucky to have a dog that is so emotionally therapeutic.

Our newest addition is Eva! She was adopted on Sept. 17th, 2012 from a family in Agoura Hills that surrendered her to the shelter. Long story so I'll try to make it short. The shelter refused to adopt her out because she was described as extremely aggressive and a biter. Had the owners not came back for her, she would have been euthanized. The volunteers informed me that the owner was coming that evening, so I waited around to see if they would release her to me. Thankfully they did! Turns out Eva nipped the the son when he went for her bowl(didn't break skin), mom freaked out and took her to the shelter that afternoon. I was able to get some history and learned that she was a backyard dog that was never allowed inside the house so she never became part of the family pack. Everything was new to her, the sound of cars whizzing by, buses, cars honking, she was even freaked out by the feeling of carpet under her paws! Fast forward 3 1/2 months. She's now housebroken, has lost 4lbs (came to us at 42lbs!) and finding her place in the pack, slowly challenging Wally for alpha position. She is the BIGGEST sweetheart that was just dying for love and affection. She LOVES belly rubs, to cuddle, and has to say hi to EVERYONE she meets. Her eyes compel you to pet her! She's a little piggy! EXTREMELY food motivated, too bad she's on a diet and exercise regimen, for her own good of course! She's very playful, loves fetch, and is constantly scouring the skies for birds. We're still learning more about our little missy, but we couldn't have asked for a sweeter, loving, more affectionate dog. She's brought a new, joyful energy into the home and we love her to pieces! BTW, we haven't experienced a single sign of aggression in our girl =)

    It's been so long since we communicated. I went off mycorgi for a few years as life got too busy. But, I was just looking at some of your photos and wondered how you're all doing. I can't believe Wally was bit by a pit bull. Last summer, Lucy 9 yrs young, who never needed a leash when hanging out on the porch w/ us (unlike Ricky-Rafa, who can't be trusted one minute off-leash) charged a pit bull that was was just taking a walk w/ her owner. Lucy aggressively got in her face. We were so lucky that the pit bull was very sweet natured and not at all aggressive. We were stunned. While Lucy has never been one to want to go to dog parks or corgi beach meet-ups :( , we had never seen her behave this way. Needless to say, she has permanently lost her off-leash privileges!

    Ricky-Rafa has matured into a Romeo. He's sweet-natured and always up for having fun. You once mentioned that you know where his father, Cody Front and Center is, but you never told me where. Do you still know? Do you have any photos of him. Hope that Wally recovered well. I can't believe that it was back in 2008!! Hope all's well w/ you and your crew. Please keep in touch. Wendy, Lucy and Ricky-Rafa

    Hello Susan from Wendy, Jack, Lucy and Ricky.

    I just wanted to let you know that I finally "met" Ricky's father Cody Front and Center's owner, Stacey. We chatted online and then on the phone. She also is friends with the owner of Ricky's mom, Opals Sweet Pickles, who sadly died in an accident. Apparently both Cody and Pickles had very hard lives until they found their forever homes. I'm hoping to meet Cody and wish I could have met Pickles. Stacey shared a video of Pickles. Ricky looks a lot like her. Hope all's going well with you and that you enjoyed the holidays. Happy, healthy 2016!
