- I'm a dog enthusiast! I've been in love with dogs since I first watched Lady and the Tramp as a tyke. My mother finally caved in and let me get my first dog, Josephine, a loveable cocker spaniel, my freshman year of high school. Soon thereafter we added Napoleon, a zany cocker-lab mix to the family. My parents also recently adopted a beagle-? mix, Bella, who's adorable!!!
As your typical dog-lover, I light up whenever I see one, coo, and rush up to ask the owner if I can pet it. I stop on my runs to chat with fellow dog owners and make sure Skittles and I take walks next to yards with nice dogs.
I'm also a medical student, yoga student, Chi Omega, Teach For America alumna, former teacher, and former runner/Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fundraiser.

- Skittles is a former show dog! I adopted her in 2007 as an adult from a nice breeder in Oklahoma. Feel free to contact me if you're thinking about adopting your corgi!
She's a truly skiddish dog (skiddish...Skittles...get it?) but she warms up to people once she realizes that they're not going to drop something and will in fact scratch her neck.
She LOVES to run, and when we visit my parents, she loves to pick fights with Napoleon. She just started warming up to Bella by allowing the little pup to do its puppy play--aka biting.
