About Me:
My mother and I are long time corgiphiles (and Tasha Tudor fans). I'm also a big supporter of corgi rescue!
About My Corgi(s):
I have one black-headed tri-color Pembroke. Her name is Mollie but no one ever calls her that and she probably wouldn't have the first clue who you meant if you did. She goes by a dozen different nicknames but mostly Corgyn or Snout. She is undoubtedly the dictator of our household--working her magic on my parents and I. I consider her part mine, but she technically lives with my parents. (I live in an apartment in a semi-urban area, and am at work six days a week-- it just wouldn't be fair to leave a corgi at home alone 3/4 of the time just so I could enjoy the other 1/4.) She is definitely a very active corgi, but looking at some of these old photos it seems she has gotten a bit thicker around the middle--it could be the cottage cheese she loves so much! :)

Mollie was rescued by the Mayflower Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club in Massachusetts (which is how she came by the name Mollie. I find it doesn't really suit her personality, but someone else gave it to her and we wouldn't want to take away her identity). We know her lineage, but we don't know any of her history. All we were told was that her previous owners handed her over and said "We cannot wait to be rid of this dog." With that kind of attitude I'm glad she's rid of them, but I'm not sure she felt the same way. I think the sudden change in situation left her with some deep-rooted emotional stress. She absolutely detests all other animals, especially squirrels, and anyone/thing else who might distract her people from her (i.e. children, the vacuum etc). Unfortunately, this means that we can't participate in corgi meet-ups, play dates or rescue more corgis. While this sounds awfully high maintenance, we're happy to give her all the love she demands and more!

Favorite Activities: Indoor Steeple Chase (careening over, under, and around the furniture and people in the two living rooms with a speed increasing straight-away in the hallway between), poking people with her slimy squeeky blowfish toy, teasing for food, riding the tractor, and lying on mom's feet while she's cooking or sewing.

Least Favorite Activities: Pedicures, being left at home by herself.

    Great pics--Edward is sneaky-shy of the camera too...at the very last moment he turns his head or gives some great shake of his head!
