I retired from the State of Louisiana working as a technical support manager in the IT Data Center. I have a Tri-color Pembroke Corgi named Nick. All of my extended family live out of town, so Nick is my constant companion. My son and his wife also own a Pembroke Corgi (Ein), a Lab-mix rescue (Tucker), and a Collie rescue (Colleen).
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
When my son and his wife moved away, I not only missed them but also their Corgi Ein. I had grown very attached to him since we raised him from a puppy in my home. I decided I had to find one to adopt for companionship, and a travel and walking partner. Luckily, I found Nick who is a 10 year old tri-color corgi that I adopted when he was 3 years old in March 2007. He is a good dog that is totally attached to me, and constantly begging for lap time and belly rubs. He is very protective of me and is my "shadow". He is good with kids and doesn't herd or nip at them. He is a very well behaved house dog even though he spends a lot of time alone in my home while I am at work, is not destructive and doesn't get into trouble when he is by himself. He is a good guardian, initially wary of strangers, and alerts me to any activity going on outside and greets invited guests at the door with alert barks, remaining vigilant of them until they take a seat, then once they are accepted into the home, begging them for petting and attention. He is a good travel partner, and looks forward to visits and lots of playtime with my son's dogs whenever we can get together.
