I just love this.  The breeder and I used a dryer on Randy and he didn't mind too much but I had him groomed with he was young and he came home not liking them.  Since I use one, he has come around.  I sit in my chair in the living room and use it and he now comes and gets in my lap so I think if I needed to use it, I could.

This is exactly what Noodles does when I get the blow dryer out. He knows my evening routine about bringing it to the downstairs bathroom and starts barking and showing his teeth while I'm getting it out. Crazy dog!
