I'm betting that after you've had Fences for awhile longer you'll become really attached to her as well.  Still, I realize there's a reason why they refer to some as "heart" dogs.  It doesn't mean you love the others any less, it's just that they hold a special place in your heart.   I can't even begin to imagine what I'd do if I was told I had to choose one dog to save.  What I like about Pinterest is you create boards and title them and then you "pin" pictures to the boards from anywhere on the internet.  Then, unless you change the website address of the page you pinned the photo from, when someone else clicks on your photo it will bring them to that webpage.  For example, people who have cooking and recipe blogs will create Pinterest Boards with photos of things they've baked and when people re-pin the photos they always link back to their blog.   What I like about Pinterest, is each board you create is like a category, and the web page that comes up for that board has how ever many photos you've  pinned to it lined up in perfect rows.  It's a great way to keep track of websites that you're interested in especially if you're more visually oriented.  I've never been a fan of listing websites under Favorites.  I just forget about them.

I fought that notion many times but I have started to realize that though I love Fences and I have only had her for a month or so, I do hold a special part of my heart just for Tom. I think about what would happen if both were deathly ill and only being able to save one. I feel bad thinking and knowing that I would pick Tom to save. It gives me a weird feeling to think that, but I know it's true. I told my bf that and he said I was horrible, and he is probably right, but I can't help feeling that way. I would like to hear about Winnie's story, but maybe another time since you are right about it being late. I will have to get me a Pinterst, I hear everyone talking about it and I haven't even looked it up yet.  This will give me a good opportunity to do so! I have a so many corgi pictures on my computer it's shameful really so I know how you feel lol. I'll go ahead and leave you now, but I sure do hope you have a good night. :]

Everyone tells me they refer to dogs like Winnie and Tom as "heart" dogs.  Part of me feels like I want to reject that notion because I love all of our dogs, and having a "heart" dog makes me feel like I don't care as much for the others, but it's not meant that way.   I do kind of feel like my heart is broken, but part of the reason is because we thought we'd have Winnie until he was older.  He was 10 1/2 when he died, and it was unexpected.  Of course, no one is sitting around expecting their dogs to die, unless they're quite old and it's more than reasonable to assume they've reached the point where they could die at any time.  Winnie's circumstances would require more time than I have right now to explain, since it's 12:15 PM CST and I should be going to bed.  I just cannot seem to stop looking at corgi pictures.  Go figure.  You should see my PInterst page, although in my defense, most of those pictures were put on there before Winston died, which actually proves what an extreme Corgi addict I am. https://pinterest.com/jrandall53/corgi-photos/  If you don't have a Pinterest account you need one !

I know what you mean about your Winnie being like a little boy, that's how I see Tom. He is so much different than any other dog I have EVER had in my life. I swear he is a little human in that furry little body of his. He amazes everyday, he can pick up any behavior he seems from another dog or even a cat just by watching them. I always considered myself to be a dog lover, but I never knew the extent one could love a dog until I got my baby. It makes me really sad to hear how much you are still hurting with his passing. I think that when Tom dies I will probably die of a broken heart.

Winnie was really kind and sweet.  For some reason his personality seems like it was very different from any dog we've ever had. I treated him more like a little boy and I still cry every day for him.   If only I could get my hands on another Corgi, I know that would help.  Did I mention we have a 14 year old male Westie AND a 2 1/2 year old female Beagle Foxhound.  I adore them both, but for some reason nothing can take the place of my beloved Winnie.

Tomahawk was the same. He had some dark markings along his ears and near his tail stub but it faded away and was completely gone when he was about 4 months or so. I can understand wanting a new pup to look like Winston, I know I will feel the same way once Tom passes (hopefully not for many, many years). Winston looked like a real kind and sweet boy, especially in your profile picture.

The white between the eyes is really cute, and I think you must be right about the facial expressions being easier to see.  The ONLY reason we'd like a red and white without white between the eyes is because we want a little boy that looks as much like Winston as possible !  Winston was originally thought to be a sable and white due to his coloring as a tiny pup.  As he grew his colors changed.

Yeah, I believe a sable pretty much is a red a white but with black marking along the head, ears and possibly the back too. I personally like the red and white more, but I prefer a big white blaze on the head like Tom has lol. I think it helps break up the face and makes it easier to see their facial expressions. At least with Tom it is. Fences is really hard to read face-wise, she always looks confused haha. The tri's are cute too, but I can't help but love the red/white combo!

She's a sable and white, right ? Our Winston was a red and white, but I never really knew much about the different kinds of Corgis until we started looking for a new puppy. Ideally we want a red and white, preferably without any white between the eyes, but I've realized that sable and whites are really nice too ! Of course, all Corgis are great, but we don't want a black headed or red headed tri.
