A favorite place. Al & Gwynnie have each been here more than once. Sloan Peak is a spectacular, technical, but not very difficult climb. 7835', one of the highest peaks in the west central Cascades. We like to say that the Cascades are half as high and twice as rough as the Sierra Nevada -- because of our nasty climate.
I plan to spend a night with the dog on that level ridge on its left.
