Profile Information

Hometown:
Akron, OH
About Me:
I'm a U.S. Air Force veteran, married, and my children are my beautiful Pem Corgis, Molly and Layne. Molly just turned six, and Layne is four. Molly is sable and white, and Layne is tri-colored :) These dogs are spoiled rotten, and are loved beyond comprehension.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Molly and Layne are both amazing and very intelligent Corgis. Molly is attached to my husband (both are VERY laid back and mellow), and Layne is attached to me (both of us are a little more on the "excitable" side). It's amazing to me how these dogs can attach themselves to us and share such similarities in personality! Making the decisions to have these Corgis come into my life are two of the BEST decisions I've ever made. Every single day is filled with love and laughter (especially because they have such hilarious and independent personalities). I look forward to seeing my fur babies all day long...there's nothing better than coming home to two overly-excited Corgis that literally jump up on the bed, wrap their paws around my shoulders and start licking my face. Seeing those loyal little faces smiling with happiness (yes, Corgis smile!) just absolutely makes my day. To me, there is nothing better than the genuine, unconditional and never-ending love that I get on a daily basis from my beautiful babies. I cherish every moment I have with them, and make sure that they have the BEST possible lives that I can give them - filled with all the love in the world! Why would you not want that for your best friend?

Frontline For Flea Control Question

Posted on December 14, 2009 at 7:37pm 8 Comments

I've been meaning to post this for awhile now---I use Frontline for Molly every month because we've had a recurring problem with fleas in our house for several months. Does anyone else use Frontline? My biggest concern is that I can NEVER get all of the medication on her actual skin...with the coarse fur on her shoulder blades, I always end up getting some in it, no matter how much I'm able to part from the skin. Does anyone know of a better alternative, or have any suggestions as to a better… Continue

Molly Is Scared Of EVERYTHING!

Posted on December 14, 2009 at 2:30pm 3 Comments

Molly, my almost 2-year-old Pembroke, has all of a sudden become scared of just about everything. She's always been a little bit skittish, but about two weeks ago, out of nowhere, it started becoming worse. Molly is afraid of trash bags, trash cans (they vary in size, large kitchen can and small bathroom one), large blankets, pots and pans, you name it! Every time I go to pick up a book to read, she shies away from it and goes and hides. We also used to play a game, where I would stick my foot… Continue

First Snow For Molly

Posted on December 6, 2008 at 9:45pm 5 Comments

Tonight it started snowing here in central New Jersey (I'm used to snow starting in October back home in Ohio so this was NOTHING) and my Molly, who is 10 months old, finally got to see her first snow. It was really slippery on the grass, so she was sliding everywhere...since the pine cones that she usually plays with were covered in the snow, she just started running around like a mad woman and chasing the snow flakes...one of the cutest things I've ever seen! She then proceeded to start… Continue

I feed my corgi Blue Buffalo, he absolutely loves it and has a wonderful coat, even my vet is surprised. The good thing is, if you are getting puppy feed, they have decreased the size just recently. It may seem pricey, but I believe that it is worth it. Blue Buff treats are great too.
