Its been a while! Harley and Bruce (and us humans, too) are all doing well! Harley's 3rd birthday was last friday and all the pups had cake from Three Dog Bakery! We have also had a friend staying at our home for a while and also her buddy, a chocolate lab named Gunnar! It's totally a full house, but we're rolling with it! And also.. this is not corgi related at all but I just got the new k-9 position with my police department!!!!! so excited! My new partner is a black lab…

Laura, Jenn, Harley and Bruce commented on Jessie's group MD/DC/VA Corgi GroupHello, there! Thanks for the note! Remember? Back in September? :-P (Oops.)
We're all great; the boys haven't slowed down one bit (to the horror of a couple of my cats). They are a mess, but worth every minute. :)
LOVE that recent photo of Harley and Bruce asleep! So sweet, and Harley has really matured into a lovely adult Pemmie (still remember her as a teeny puppy at RDOC - three years ago - how is that?).
Hope your family is doing well! Happy holidays!

Natalie & Lance &Tucker said… Hi, thanks for the comment on the video!! The carpet has stayed very clean over the years, it helps that it is not the main room we use and for years we really didnt use them much at all!! We use the family room. Well I finally broke down and let Lance run and play in there with me, with his toys. Now that we have two, I let them run around and play in there, as we don't have a fenced in back yard.
I have to say that Natures Miracle is wonderful!!! In fact, just yesterday Tucker peed on the white carpet, and it was pretty yellow :O (After a couple of scrubbings with natures miracle plus the steam cleaner, looks good as new) Thank goodness for Natures Miracle and my Hoover Steam Cleaner. I did just steam clean the carpet about 2 months ago, and although I didn't think it looked dirty, its amazing how clean it looks now!! So glad I have my steam cleaner!!!
Sam Tsang said… We're all good, thanks. :) I've seen some of your posts on Bruce and I feel helpless with training advice. :( I hope you find someone who can help who doesn't also cost a fortune.
This is a stab in the dark but, I met a liscensed professional dog trainer during JF's CGC classes at RDOC. Her name is Janie Simmons and she has her own training business out of her home in the West End. JF and I took a tracking seminar with her last fall and it was fun. Anyway, here is her website http://pawsplustraining.com/index.html
I found this testimonial on there: "Sam and I have been working with Janie over a year
and a half on agility, attention issues and leash aggressiveness. Janie has
been much more than just an instructor! Janie has taken a personal interest in
Sam and has been very supportive of me during the trials and tribulations of
learning the sport of Agility and how to better control my sweet boy. I
appreciate all she has done for Sam and I and cannot recommend her highly
enough." -- Beth Thompson
Hi Laura, I use a coupler when I walk my two, I don't know if you've tried it but it works great for us. With the coupler they kind of correct each other, one dog can't really lag behind because the other is still pulling forward. I used to walk them with separate leashes and it drove me crazy! They walk together much nicely on the coupler for whatever reason. It would be worth a try if you haven't yet. :)
This is the one I have. It's fairly inexpensive, doesn't tangle easily and has it's own handle so it's not too long: http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2648&ParentCat=654

Winston and Harley look so much alike! Except for Winston's Dumbo-sized ears haha!!!
Thanks for the note about The Dude Ranch. I'm so glad you are taking Bruce there. Jon Farleigh's dad's owner (in C'ville) recommended The Dude Ranch, too, and so I've looked at their website. I had a not so great experience with Dewi in Basic obedience at RDOC this winter, so I don't think I'll be taking any more of their classes for a while (but, I do plan on doing the CGC test for Dewi there in May).
Just wish the Dude Ranch wasn't so far from me (in Chester). I'll definitely let you know if I decide to put the dogs in a class out there. Which class is Bruce taking now? I sure hope they can help with his fear of other dogs.
