"Hi all! Just joined this group as my Cardi Gus is almost 13. He has lived almost 7 yrs with disk problems and is mostly deaf. He seems to get a lot more tired on walks but really enjoys just laying on the deck or 'helping' when we are in…"

About My Corgi(s):
Gus is an 12 yr old brindle Cardigan corgi. He has famous champions in his pedigree, but he is just a big silly goof. He has injured his back several times, but thankfully recovers with meds and rest each time. He now has a cart which he loves, to help him on walks. He's very proud of it!!

Gwynnie @ Al say "Rowrrf" to Gus.  We can see the Olympics from our walks every day.  Every day the weather's clear.  At least a coupla times a year!  :)

Your Gus is adorable....What happened to his back?  Curious because my girl had to have disc surgery about 6 years ago.  We were fortunate because she kept her mobility.  Looking forward to hearing from you.

Well...You are indeed in luck.  You have found two of Gus's relatives.  AJ our female is daughter to Ch. Admiral whatever known to us as Addie.  Your Gus favors AJ in the face to me.  I think it is the big brown eyes!

Hi Joy, after reading your discussion on Gus I wanted to find out more about him. What is it that's wrong with his back? Does he need the cart all the time or just for long walks? My Finnigan has bad hips. He's only a year old but his future may hold surgery or a cart. I've always been curious about the carts and what the dogs think of them since they wouldn't understand what it's for.
