Corgi Diet

I was wondering what is the right amount to feed my corgi. Paisley is almost 8 months, but is currently a little chunky (34 lbs). The breeder had her on Iams, which I kept her on for a while, then…Continue

Dogs in the car

Posted on December 26, 2013 at 9:00pm 1 Comment

*Fair warning, this is an issue I am extremely passionate about. This is just a vent at the various comments that I saw while researching pet restraint laws.*

I am fully against animals being allowed loose in a vehicle. I feel it should be illegal to have your dog roaming freely about, especially your lap - no matter the size. I'm annoyed when others…

Soccer and the stairs

Posted on December 23, 2013 at 3:00pm 0 Comments

Paisley seems to love to play soccer, or at least a variation of the game. She frolics around with a tennis ball in her mouth, sometimes it's her stuffed squeaky carrot, and proceeds to play soccer with her other tennis ball. She bats that ball with her front paws all over the house, just kicking and chasing. One tennis ball never leaving her mouth, the other rolling along as she chases on. She desires no interference on her chases and will grumble loudly until you give back her modified soccer… Continue

Night Time Safety

I always wonder what people do when they are out walking their dogs at night. Last night, Pasiely and I went on a walk that started at the waning end of twilight, by the time we returned home it was fully dark. We passed one other set of walkers while out and I almost didn't see them until they were right next to us. Not cool, people, not cool.

As an avid runner, I've on occasion run during the night time hours and I have one MAJOR rule about being out at night that I wish…

Sneaky puppy

Posted on September 18, 2013 at 9:00pm 4 Comments

Today my sneaky puppy decided to visit me at work. I was of course a willing accomplice. Also the eight people who actually saw her at work after hours were very cool about not saying anything. My office was given a half day in order to go to a morale event which would last till the end of the business day. I stopped by to get lunch and say hello to everybody but I knew I still had more work to do. At the end of the picnic I realized that I didn't really want to take the dog home and it would… Continue

Sorry I didn't see your message until today. I don't check this page very often.

The collar is made from egg crate foam about 5" wide, which is covered with a sleeve of fake fur and a velcro closure. The pictures, and simple instructions, are here:  http://www.instructables.com/id/soft-dog-e-collar/#step1. It really does look cozy, but I'll bet the corgi in the pics would disagree somewhat. It immobilizes the neck so the pup can't reach his back or tummy, but he could still reach his front feet, maybe back feet too.

I can get so caught up on this site, instructables.com, looking at things I'd never make, or fantastic creations, or ridiculous ideas. I hope it helps you.

My fiance and I actually live close to Glen Burnie, MD. Maybe we can do a corgi meet up or something sometime. :)
