Hello everyone.. Our corgi, Blaze is just over 14 years old. He has had canine cognitive dysfunction for a long time now. He has all of the symptoms but one, he still eats well.  He has one eye and it has a cataract in it and is losing his hearing. Lately he has been struggling with stairs...He gets rambunctious and jumps of falls off some of them and was going to hurt himself so we started putting a gate up at the top and bottom of the stairs. That way he only goes up when we are behind him to…See More

How old is your senior Corgi?

My Corgi, Blaze will be 13 on St. Patty's Day!!  Can't believe he is that old. He is getting along pretty well for his age and only having one eye.  He has a cataract in the other eye and his hearing isn't what it used to be, but overall not too bad.  Just wondered how hold your seniors are??See More

About Me:
I'm 35, married and the proud mother to a 10 1/2 year corgi, Blaze. Blaze is my heart and he just got diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his eye and is going to have his eye removed this week. Been a tough couple of days but I think he will be just fine, hope I am too. =)

Update: Blaze came though the eye removal just fine and is back to his usual happy and playful self. He is adapted wonderfully and I am so grateful. If anyone has to go through a similar experience, I would be happy to help support you through it. =)

When you join My Corgi you become part of a big, sometimes furry, family.  So as family I just have to say Blaze is such  a beautiful corgi and we are all worried about him.  I am so glad he is doing better.  I guess still no word about the pathology of the tumor.  Well, we are all here to help if we can, even if its just to listen.....Give Blaze a big hug from me and a big  baroo from my furry kids!
