Noodles went to heaven yesterday, New Year's Eve. I was able to hold him in my arms until he went to see Jesus. Our hearts are broken. He was the light of our lives for 13.5 years. They are in Lendava, Slovenia, so a Facebook post went out asking for a substitute mother. Here is what the Facebook page looks like. My husband says it is on Honey and Rocky's Facebook page plus this page for Andrej Klemencic. Not sure if anyone knows someone who can help. Thanks

I went out to say my good-bye to him last night and you can tell he is ready. I gave him so many kisses and told him what a good puppy he is. Gus is 11.5 years young, but he's been battling cancer for at least the last year that we know of. He leaves behind 3 little boys who will greatly miss taking adventures and hikes with him. Wherever the boys would go, Gus would be right there. My sister-in-law has mentioned multiple times looking our her kitchen window and seeing the backs of 3 boys with a black lab right next to them (they live on 7 acres). She knew the boys would be safe as long as Gus was with them. We all have so many wonderful memories of him. We love you Gus and will miss you buddy!
Happy 9th Birthday Noodles!tag:mycorgi.com,2014-06-26:1150197:BlogPost:18698802014-06-26T20:05:22.000ZAlison Prasavathhttp://mycorgi.com/profile/AlisonPrasavath

Today, my baby boy turns 9! I can't believe he is 9 years old. I cherish every day I have with him and feel so lucky to be his mom. We've had our ups and downs, but overall, he is in good health and his charming personality continues to make not only myself smile, but everyone else smile as well. He is a little cuddler with his mom and I love our Saturday morning snuggle times that only he does with me (daddy is jealous of this). I love you baby boy and look forward to many more years of seeing you smile!
2013 Corgi Walk in the Pearltag:mycorgi.com,2013-08-22:1150197:BlogPost:17927492013-08-22T00:22:48.000ZAlison Prasavathhttp://mycorgi.com/profile/AlisonPrasavath

Birthday pictures to come later, but here is what he looked like when we got him at 8 weeks and how handsome our little boy is today.

Well, we no sooner get Dexter (Noodles cousin) feeling better when Noodles decided he would like some attention as well. Last week, he fell down 2 steps and hit his right shoulder (and more than likely his head) on the steps. I thought it looked like it hurt, but he continued running down the rest of the steps with no yelp or cry coming from him. Thursday after work, my husband and I noticed that his right ear looked like it was "falling off" his head. It looks like that if he has something in his ear or if he is tired, so I figured he had something in his ear. I took him jogging and noticed that his left ear stood up perfectly, but his right ear flapped like crazy. I didn't notice anything out of the usual with Noods until yesterday morning. When we woke up, his right eye was red and he kept squinting it. He is now beginning to turn his head to the right and it just looks like the whole right side of his body is in pain. Also, I noticed he wasn't rolling on his back which he does on a regular basis. Even when treats were present last night, he wouldn't roll over. I had already made up my mind to take him in today and it solidified my decision when this morning he wasn't waiting for me in the spare bedroom on his back once the alarm went off. I asked if he wanted to go on a walk 5 times and all he did was crawl on my lap and bury his head in my arms. I just took him potty and then fed him. I had an appointment at 9 this morning and his doctor is saying he had blunt force head trauma due to falling down the 2 steps. His right eye doesn't have any damage done to it, but since it is really red, I have eye drops to give him the next week. I'm also waiting for a call back from his doctor because she is contacting a neurologist for further advice because she knows something is wrong with him. When you look at him straight on, besides his right ear "falling off" the side of his head, his head is tilted to the right and that is what has her concerned. Here is a picture of my poor baby that I took yesterday with him squinting his right eye. Thank you ahead of time for your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE:His vet called me back and after talking with the neurologist, Noodles has been diagnosed with partial Horner's Syndrome. I had not a clue what that meant, so I Googled it. It sounds a lot like what Noodles is going through right now, so that was very helpful to put a name with it. Eye drops are given for the affected eye (which he has) and other than rest for 6-8 weeks, that is what we have to do. His doctor will call me on Thursday to see how he is doing and then his follow-up appointment is next Wednesday. If he gets worse, I need to bring him in right away, but if he is holding steady and/or getting better, it is a waiting game. Thank you all for caring about my baby so much. It just breaks my heart to see him like this.

UPDATE 3/25: I had to take Noodles in to the vet today because it seemed like he started having seizures Saturday night. His doctor did some tests and then called the neurologist again. On a positive note, Noodles eye is looking really good and his ear is as well, but he still has a bit of a tilt to the right. The neurologist told Noods doctor that it doesn't sound like he is having seizures to him, but he is having an issue with sound stimulation (based off the information I had given to his doctor). What we are to do is video tape the next "episode" and show that to his doctor. His doctor will in turn send it on to the neurologist. Because Noodles seems to have these "episodes" whenever he gets excited, that is why the neurologist is saying they aren't seizures, but more of a sound stimulation/behavior issue right now possibly having to do with issues going on with his inner ear. Once we video tape it, we can then move forward. It would be a blessing if he never has another one, but if he does, we will do our best to record it. Once we capture it and the neurologist sees it, we would then more than likely be scheduled for a consulation with him. I'll keep you all informed with his progress. We just take things one day at a time and right now my main goal is to keep Noodles calm. If these episodes having nothing to do neurologically wise, the inner ear will heal on its own, but will take time. Thank you all for your continued prayers.

Update 3/8/2013: Dexter's "Nanna" got him a softer cone and his vet gave him better pain medicine. He slept a bit better last night, but still cries from time to time. He prefers no cone on, so they take it off and watch him closely to make sure he doesn't bother his stitches. No word yet on the results. Thank you all for thing of them and praying for them.

Update 3/11/2013: I received word from my sister-in-law that Dexter doesn't have cancer (whew!), but his vet isn't quite sure what is going on with his little body. The vet suggested possibly a fungal infection or baceterial infection. They will continue testing the lumps they removed to try and figure out what is going on with his little body. What a relief for us all. Dex also had his drainage tubes removed today. Thank you all for caring and praying for Dex and his family.

This past Saturday was the 5th annual corgi walk in the Pearl. We had a wonderful time and a rough count estimates there were 255 corgi's. Can you imagine seeing all of them in one place? It was fun and we literally stopped traffic, brought people out of stores and their homes in order to see our group. One of the funniest comments was a lady who just walked out of the store and saw us and exclaimed "it's the corgi walk. This is the best day of the year!" She then promptly bent down to pet…

He stayed in the kitchen (NOT on the counter) until the cake was done cooking and then licked his lips for the rest of the night. Even this morning he kept licking them. Have no fear, he will get a piece of cake tonight (the cake is topped with cottage cheese and carrots), along with his presents and a special dinner.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY BOY!!!

Yesterday was Noodles 6th birthday. He received a new set of rings because he plays tug-o-war so much. He also got a jumbone for dinner and a birthday card from his Grammy and Gramps with treats in it. Of course I made him his peanut butter birthday cake with cottage cheese and carrots on top. Hey, he loves it! The first picture is a nice one and he is smiling. In the 2nd picture, the hat was sliding off his head and he looks pretty upset about that.
We just returned from the corgi walk in the Pearl District and I wanted to post some photos of it. There was a great turn out and Noodles enjoyed getting to meet many new friends. The youngest corgi there (as far as I know) was a 10 week old and she was absolutely precious. Please enjoy the photos

He will also get a jumbone, so he will probably think I'm starving him all day since when he gets one of those, that is enough food for him for the day. I still can't believe my baby is 5! What a wonderful five years he has shared with us and I pray for many, many more years with my little man.
