If this is a problem, I will delete the other page and just keep all the info the same on this one. :) (I don't know if it would be a problem for the site itself).

A lot of you knew me and a lot of you I loved before dropping out of the Corgi world. Ziggy was my whole life, my rock. A lot of people here helped me when I was in a bad spot, whether it was moral support for a relationship that was less than stellar, or financial help when I fell short.

I regret to inform that I wound up surrendering Ziggy to an Oregon based Corgi rescue when I left my relationship and, before I could find employment, he lost weight and seemed sickly beyond belief when I had nowhere to turn-I know a ton of the amazing people from Corgi Nation would keep helping me but felt horrible knowing I was unable to provide bare necessities for my best friend.

I did not have the courage or decency to update. I got lost in my own world and went through a very low point in my life.

It has been a couple years, and though I understand if most are hesistant, did want to let everyone know Ziggy wound up in a happy home with two other Corgis, and I worked hard to right myself.

I have sunce secured my own place and worked very hard to make sure I can maintain myself as well as the creatures I love.

I cleared out my need for codependency, I got a great job, I moved into my own place and am in the middle of purchasing my own vehicle...

And was lucky enough to stumble onto a breeder and another Corgi. I was honest about Ziggy and nearly scared to death I would never be allowed another Corg, but she told me she was willing to give it a shot so long as I swore to do my best and make sure my current was ever in need to get back to her...

So I did, and I really hope to be able to share Nova and her stories with you all in the future. Feeling out the waters to see how it would go as I know it can cause problems for some people and if it will be that big of a concern I would rather leave MyCorgi in peace.

Thank you for all Corgi Nation has done for me and Ziggy.*drumroll* INTRODUCING....tag:mycorgi.com,2014-07-03:1150197:BlogPost:18710742014-07-03T23:02:32.000ZZigward & Kimberlyhttp://mycorgi.com/profile/ziggy

Sometimes I swear Corgis are toddlers!!
We have a no Corgi in the kitchen rule (Ziggy is well aware) and what do we hear from our bedroom? The click click click of Corgi nails in the kitchen! So we call him and call him and he jus REFUSES to leave the kitchen... So I get up and I to the kitch, give a sharp "OUT!" and snap my fingers... He jumped SO high and ran SO fast that I couldn't help but laugh-hard!

Well, last time I signed on it was to let you all know that Ziggy, myself and my boyfriend moved to Colorado. This time it's to let everyone know Ziggy and I moved home to Oregon. :)

I'm very happy to be back home with my family and friends. We're staying with my aunt for now and I'm currently looking for another job.

Ziggy has been so-so about the situation. He's happier now that things are calmer in his space, but my aunt has three dogs (a Chiweenie, a Huskita and a purebred Pittie) and three cats (and she surprised me with one named Jax from the HSUS-not too sure how I feel about it, but I just couldn't tell her to put him back in the cages at the shelter). Ziggy REALLY dislikes the Pittie because she has no respect for personal space and is so much larger than him. I've had to pull her off of him more than once so far when she's gotten in his face and he's asked her to back off-she doesn't like being told what to do apparently.. Really not too happy about the situation myself but there's not much I can do, so I keep him tucked up in my room as much as possible when she's in the house.

On top of that.... Three children. The oldest, a ten year old, Ziggy doesn't mind, but the younger two... Well, let's just say I'm very proud of Ziggy and his restraint. I've made myself look like Medusa to these kids for swan diving on top of him (both of them on this one), swatting him, kicking at him (just the two year old for these two). So my game plan is just to play hideaway in my room with Zig until I get a job and move out.

I just wish I could let him know how sorry I am, that this was the only option for now but that I'm really trying and going to get us out of there ASAP. Not that I'm not appreciative, I am, it's just not an ideal situation for Ziggy, which really stresses me out.

I'm really hoping for one job in particular, at a call center. Keep your fingers crossed for me-this would be a wonderful step up from toilet scrubbing, haha ;)

Anyhow, here's a picture of Ziggy and his new brother Jax

Ziggy, my boyfriend and I have packed up our belongings and made our way to the wonderful state of Colorado.... I never wanna leave! (Okay, so I still miss and love Oregon more than anything, but I can't say I'm unhappy with our stop here before making our way back).

We moved to a tiny town (population of about 700---and I've already seen a Corgi and a Corgi-Chow mix!) named Fairplay-which just so happens to be the town that South Park, my all time favorite show, is based off of! Yippee! Way too cool :)

We're living on 160+ acres in a log cabin, completely surrounded by mountains on all sides... It's kind of dizzying! I only wish it was ours to keep ;) We're living with my boyfriend's friend (and business partner now!), who just purchased the house with his two kitties, and another friend who also came with us from New Hampshire... Ziggy is in heaven and loves them both to stitches.

I can't believe my eyes! I've got Ziggy, ON CAM, PLAYING WITH ANOTHER DOG!
I can't believe my eyes! I've got Ziggy, ON CAM, PLAYING WITH ANOTHER DOG! It's absolutely amazing! If any of you remember, my boyfriend's parent's had a Schipperke named Shadow, and Ziggy would try to play with him but it Shadow wasn't ever really having it...

Well, (and this is really unfortunate) Shadow passed away a couple months back (I haven't been on much at all lately, obviously).. His disease finally became too much and he was constantly in pain, so they sent him to the bridge. It wasn't much longer before Sadie came home.

Ziggy has hated Sadie since the first day-with good reason. She thinks his face is a chew toy, her people don't correct the behavior, and I can't really step in as she's not my pup to be firm with (so I usually just scoop her up and act like I'm loving on her when Ziggy needs to get through the house now hehe).

Well, anyhow, today I didn't, and I decided to try psyching Ziggy out using my arms (the only "toy" he'll play with) and then I pushed him into her.. And it was on-they must have played for thirty minutes straight!!! I didn't have my iPod on me at first so I missed a good chunk of cuteness, but I managed to get it going once again after I got it, and here's a little something for you all to enjoy!

So we finally made our way over to the vet, and I think Ziggy's face says it all! He was allllll good!! While he was less than happy about being prodded with needles (huge ones!) I think that he senses that I'm not constantly freaking out and is generally a lot more comfortable himself.

Of course, the vet said that IF he does get any more lumps, that we probably should make a trip back just to be sure, but she felt confident enough that she didn't want to do any further testing or a biopsy, as what she had looked at under her scope revealed nothing concerning or scary.

One thing that we do have to work on is his weight. He's gained a lot over the winter, which is totally my fault for not doing my job and making him deal with the cold and his anxieties about the outside world. Well, that changed and now he's getting about a half of a cup less food each day and is going on daily walks, anxious or no (though he has been doing surprisingly well and isn't fighting as much as he used to-probably because he doesn't have the energy to since his momma made him fat!)

Anyhow, after the vet trip we went straight to Uncle George's (he is the one that gave us the ride to the vet and who takes Ziggy with his two Corgis to the groomers) and what did Ziggy do to thank him? POOPED ON HIS FLOORS!!! And not ONE poop, but as I was cleaning up the first, he ran around the house, leaving little turdlets all over the place.. Of course I was embarrassed as heck and apologizing profusely... But George reassured me that it's alright, he poops in the house every day LOL! Though once Ziggy made a beeline for the carpet, George intervened and took all three of the pooches out to his huuuuuge fenced yard (and came back saying in amazement, "He's STILL pooping out there!") and we left the dogs out there while I got a tour of his insanely amazing home. *Note: We are pretty positive that he was feeling sick from his Leptospirosis vaccine, as when I got Ziggy home I noticed he was acting kinda funny for a while-shaking, not opening his eyes completely, refusing to walk more than a couple steps-though I think that last part is due to the fact that he'd gotten three huge needles jammed into his hips :( He was completely back to normal after about an hour of at home rest, just so you all aren't worried!

Also, we picked him up some coconut oil and he gets one tablespoonful a day in his dinner.. He LOVES it-licks and licks and licks his dish mat for about five minutes after he gulps down his kibble! Hopefully we shall start seeing some of the improvements it is supposed to make shortly!

Thank you, thank you, thank you all that kept us in your thoughts and prayers, we don't doubt even in the slightest that it helped immensely!

Here are some pictures for you all of the three midget poochies all together!

PS. I am SO excited! Ziggy, Uncle George, Poppy & Nickers are coming to see me again tomorrow at work!

We found several lumps on him. He was recently at the groomers, and they weren't there then, so we know for sure that they're new (while we would hope that we would notice that, I wanted to double check that they were indeed new)...

They WERE each about the size of a quarter, and there were (at least we found after a pat down) about seven of them. They're firm and don't move (well, I say they don't move, my boyfriend says they do), they don't seem to be causing him any pain or discomfort, but I cannot tell for sure---he didn't even let out a whine in the slightest the night I accidentally cut his quick during a nail trimming session.

Of course, this sent me into panic mode... So, we decided that it was time for a vet trip. I was offered a ride for the next morning (yesterday morning) by a coworker... IF the weather wasn't so bad as the weather channel said there would be a storm... Go figure that this is the one time that they were actually right about.

It started snowing, and hasn't stopped since. No one is willing to drive in this crap weather so we are stuck like sitting ducks. After we realized we weren't going to be able to make it yesterday, I still felt I had to do something right then, and so we walked down to the local feed store and carried him back a bag of "Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula with Roasted Bison and Roasted Venison"....

While we're still heading in to the vet ASAP.... Some of his lumps have disappeared altogether and the others have definitely gone down in size! I know that he's only been on TotW for a day now, but it really does seem to have had an impact. Still, we're not in the clear, but I find it far easier to think positive thoughts now...

A positive is that he's still acting completely like himself :) There hasn't been any change in his routine, his actions, his snoring haha. His "Mommy's Home!" ritual is still upbeat and crazy---he screams, runs throughout the house as many times as possible, tosses himself in my lap, gets out all this built up energy that he doesn't know how to handle by giving me love bites (and let me tell you, love hurts), and ends the session by either curling up against me, or on my work clothes, depending on whether or not I can stand to stay in them a bit longer for him to cuddle me!

Anyhow... Keep us in your thoughts and send good vibes our way, please, and I'll let you all know how he is, what's going on, and all that stuff as soon as I know myself.. <3

Today Ziggy had another Corgi-Spa-Palooza with George, the super-awesome-Corgi-dad I met at work! The difference is that this time I GOT TO GO! I was able to trade a shift with a coworker so that I could go instead of making my boyfriend trudge along ;P Hehe. The fact that I got pics was of course just a minor plus (major sarcasm there with the minor bit!).

When Ziggy saw George's car, he went mental and about killed me while tugging me down the steps! It made me happy to see him really like someone that he didn't get to spend much time with. He really seems to like Nickers, who is more laid back over Poppy, who wants to herd and be the boss of everyone at the same time.

Anyhow, the only pics I got to take were of them when we dropped them off, and mostly of Ziggy and Nickers as Poppy was too busy blurring around the room, herding all dogs in sight! :D Anyhow, Nickers is the brindle Cardigan and is a female. Nickers is the Fluffy (his cut is kinda maintained so his fluff isn't as fluffy as it could be) RHT Pembroke male who you won't get to really appreciate! Hahaha :) But that's okay.. Corgis gotta Corg.

Well, here are the pictures!

First, meet Poppy and Nickers!

Julie (the groomer) had done something that caught both their attention at the same time! I thought that this picture was very cute haha :) Maybe I'm just nuts but it's really nice to see him with other Corgis!

Good thing I am learning to deal with blurry pictures, because Poppy makes focused ones impossible-at least with my iPod's camera-LOL! Here is the only pic I got of all three of them!

Nickers just because she was being so generous and patient with my camera and I and she's just beautiful.

That's about it except Ziggy when he got done being dried and got to come see me after I had left him there and spent the afternoon doing Corgi people things with a Corgi person! (Normal people things, but done by Corgi people? I guess lol).

And now, just so you all know how grueling and tortured poor Ziggy really is, he's asked me to recreate an event that occured today while at the groomers! How he ever even made it out is just a mystery.

Hey everyone! You're not going to believe it! It's been a whole year since Ziggy came into my life! :) It feels like it was just a little bit ago I'd been feeling his ears for the first time in awe :D He's made this last year livable, and I don't know what I would have done without him when Skittles passed, or how I would get through his death's anniversary coming up. I feel truly blessed and want to extend my sincerest thanks out to Corgi Nation who has been there not only for Ziggy, but for me too, on countless occasions! We love you guys!

Unfortunately I worked today but as soon as I got off I walked down to the store (in freezing winds, even, the spoiled Corgi dog) and got him some extra gravy wet dogfood McDonalds hahaha (a can of icky Alpo, which he LOVES, gross) and I let him have a Dorito chip haha.

It's snowing here so I couldn't get many pics of him outside in good lighting, and only one came out not blurred to heck! But here it is!

And here he is anticipating and inahling his doggy fastfood! Oinker haha. He wanted the whole can but only got half.

It's been ten months today since Ziggy…

It's been ten months today since Ziggy came to live with us! So crazy :) I can't believe how time flies! (I never really thought it did until adopting him-now it feels like ten months ago was yesterday!! LOL).

Anyhoo, he is doing what he does and is napping away! Yesterday was great fun :) The guy that comes in to my work with his Corgis to visit his uncle took Ziggy out with his dogs, Poppy (fluffy male RHT Pembroke) and Nickers (female brindle Cardigan) to the groomers and then stopped by during my shift afterwards! Ziggy looked like he was in heaven, and was super yummy smelling and adorable in his little bandana!

I didn't get to go, so I only got second hand stories on it, but I guess Ziggy was really well behaved and loved the experience. He had his nails clipped, butt/feet trimmed, ears cleaned, was bathed, etc. The groomer adored him as well! She thought it was a hoot when my boyfriend (who had to go in my place, since I worked) showed her that the harder he gets his butt slapped, the more he flops his tongue around in ecstasy! After my boyfriend and George had brought Ziggy, Poppy and Nickers to the groomers, they went to get some drinks (tea, coffee) and when they got back, Ziggy was mid bath. Ziggy was so excited when he saw Josh ("You didn't abandon me!") he lept right out of the tub, getting water everywhere. This worried me when I heard it as the tub is quite a bit off the ground, but he hasn't limped or acted like he was in any kinda pain... Silly pooch!

When they came to my work, watching them all walk in, I could tell Ziggy had had a good day. He was energetic, he was happy, he was playful.. It really made me happy in a while new kinda way :) Then when they got in the door and I said "Hey Corgi!" he does a double take and then was all over me! I decided it was time for my break ;) Sadly, it was only fifteen minutes, but they couldnt' stay much longer than that in any case.

Ziggy got a butt load of attention and affection, he was in doggy heaven. Also, he did me a huge solid by buttering (and slobbering) up my supervisor for me, who is a huge animal lover hehe. I thought that was just the icing on the cake, as he didn't give anyone else kisses but her! Definitely was trying to help me out ;D

The day ended with an invite to head over to George and his wife's house sometime for a Corgi playdate! We didn't set an actual time, but I am very excited for this :) Ziggy really seemed to like hanging out with other Corgis! Really looking forward to this, especially because I will finally be able to get some pictures of Poppy and Nickers to share with Corgi Nation :D And hopefully, get some good, cute pics of all three together!

This has been the absolute best experience, all around. Life is really starting to get going for me, even if it's taken a long time and we've had some pretty big rough spots :) I really hope that it keeps going in a positive direction, I'm going to try to make sure I look nowhere but up from here on out, even when the times are tough, because yesterday was really a little slice of heaven for me, even if it's not what I once thought it was.

So, today at work, I was sitting there, eating lunch in the break room and my boyfriend's mom comes in and goes "You wanna see some Corgis?"
So, today at work, I was sitting there, eating lunch in the break room and my boyfriend's mom comes in and goes "You wanna see some Corgis?" (she knows I'm obsessed with them, and that I only have ever seen Ziggy). Of course, I jumped up (and very noisly almost dropped my tray in my excitement) and followed her to a resident's room, where I met a RHT fluffy Pembroke named Nickers and a brindle Cardigan named Poppy. They were SO cute.

True to Pembroke nature, Nickers was all over me, in my lap, giving me kisses. Poppy stayed back for the most part, approaching me cautiously every so often. She was gorgeous. Her tail was a lot shorter than I thought a Cardi's would be, but maybe that was just her.

Anyhoo, I spent about twenty minutes on the floor loving on them before my lunch break was up... Getting back to work, I made sure the first room I cleaned was the one directly across from them, where I made cooing and smoochie noises at them until I could no longer stretch it out... That was the only section during the whole day that I actually was awake for LOL. I zombied through the rest (I got to bed later than I should have, lesson learned).

It was TOTALLY awesome. After meeting Poppy, I'm very much in love with the Cardigan look... I liked her personality too, seemed like it would suit Ziggy well.. But I also loved Nickers' friendly upbeat fearlessness. They were both five like Ziggy, and Nickers was a rescue too :) It made my day!
Just a bit Here and Theretag:mycorgi.com,2012-11-17:1150197:BlogPost:16547502012-11-17T20:00:00.000ZZigward & Kimberlyhttp://mycorgi.com/profile/ziggy

Then it escalates to whining at a moderate volume.. On to loud "HEYYYYYYYYYY" squeals, accompanied by paw slamming on the bedside.. So, at this point, I get up and go sit next to him, and my boyfriend faces back to his laptop.. Ziggy quiets down, seemingly content and then my boyfriend swivels back around to tell me something---and Ziggy looks him dead in the eye, put his right paw (the one furthest away from me) in my lap, scoots up and lays his front half in my lap, keeping eye contact that seemed to be screaming "Mine." until my boyfriend spun back around LOL.. I laughed way too hard.

On another note, I finally got word from my job--went through two days of orientation and one day of training, which ended yesterday, and start tomorrow! Yippee! We have to move by January. I am kind of nervous because it seems like there aren't too many dog friendly places around here from what I've found so far... But, we'll figure something out! I'm so excited to finally be working haha. No more feeling like a bum, and finally, I can take care of Ziggy properly. Thank Mother Nature for Corgi Nation, though... I wouldn't have him at all without you guys.

Ziggy has been shedding so much for so long.. I'm so ready for his winter coat to come in and be done with it--blowing coat while his brush is in OR is just not cool lol :P Go figure, I asked my grandma to send me his brush---she sent me three brushes she uses for her dogs (who are so short haired and none shedding that they don't even need brushing anyhow) but not his... I was like "Grandmaaa... Nooooooooooo!!" when I opened the box... None of them do any good for him... I am almost suspicious of this.. My grandma told me of a brush she just got that picks up hair really well that she loves--and her is huge, floofy and sheds a lot... SIGH, Grandma. <3 (If she did take it, I don't think she meant to-she's pretty spacey lol).

Ziggy does not like me being gone lol... First day of orientation, he had no idea what was going on when I woke up early and got ready... Pretty much ignored me, didn't bother to worry about what was going on... When I got back, he was in my lap having "happy seizures" lol. The next two mornings, he did nothing but follow me from room to room, giving me "the eyes". My boyfriend told me that every day he would be mostly fine-sit by our bedroom door, or out in the living room... But the last two hours he spent whining and crying.. This morning when I woke up, he came and sat by me.. He was being very lovey, made me feel like he was happy I wasn't leaving him again... Poor guy.. I dunno how he's gonna react when I'm gone tomorrow-orientation wasn't as long as a full day of work..

It's been NINE months since Ziggy came to live with us today :) Only three months until it's been a year... This has to be the first time I've noticed how fast time flies instead of thinking about how long it takes a year to go by. Anyhoo, we're still at a standstill on training as when he eats dinner is the only time he willl drink water, so I can't use his dinner for training and I don't want to give him any extras, as he gained four pounds :( Bad humom!

It's been snowing a lot lately and he's not too happy with that, definitely going to have to get him some doggy booties ASAP! Does anyone know how to size their feet? I have to buy them online (there's only one pet store here and it's super small and dinky lol).

I also found a way to make him go on long walks with me---I found a pet stroller on Ebay that is awesome! And it comes in a lovely shade of green :D Gonna love being able to have him with me, and he'll be getting to see the outdoors without being on the ground (which is when he's nervous--he does fine outside when I hold him, though he is at his best indoors)!

Anyhow, I am so happy to have had these past nine months with him :D He's the best little guy in the world.. I don't think I could have asked for a better Corgi to suit me at this point in my life.. He's been way too good about being moved around from house to house so much.. I so bad about it, but he's just happy to still be with us---very apparent :)

He's started FRAPing lately! When we go out for potty breaks, he refuses to come back inside without playing a game of chase, while snorting and romping (go figure he starts this as it's getting cold as heck and all I can think about is the toasty indoors LOL)!!

I love him more and more and more! <3 Every single day: :)

There is a lot going on with Ziggy lately. I regrettably stopped doing a Happy Month Mark post for Ziggy since Skittles passed away.. It just hasn't felt right on the eighth anymore to celebrate, it leaves a hole in my heart to even acknowledge the day, but I know that Skittles wouldn't want me to put anything on hold, not even something so small. He had no concept of time, and it wasn't the day's fault, so why even let it keep me from updating on Ziggy's progress.

First off, I would like to say how proud of Ziggy I am. He is still coming more and more out of his shell, and he is even learning a few commands! Slowly, with lots of treat rewards, and only basic tricks right now, but it is a large improvement over the dog that would act like I wasn't even talking when I was trying before. He has sit down and has had it down within minutes of our first-successful-training session. Previously before this session he would just plop down on his belly if I didn't give him the treats right away and would act completely disinterested. Now he tries for it, and it seems that once he gets something down the first few times, it really clicks! So, since he is a pro at sit, we moved on to down. This one was a lot more complicated, and I had to spend a lot more time physically putting him in the down position than I did with the sit position. He got a TON of treats out of this session (and I've decided against giving him a lot of treats and replace with mostly kibble, only alternating to treats every tenth trick or so) and we must have been practicing for twenty minutes straight before I held the treat from him for a good five minutes... He went into the down position on his own (out of laziness) so I said in a neutral voice Down. as he was settling in and then quickly gave him his treat and praise.. It was like watching a lightbulb go off and he laid four more times (with a few derps here and there where I had to physically remind him) on command before ending the session-on a positive note with an awesome Down... After this, Down got a lot easier. He now has it down 100% of the time, and I've moved on from giving him a treat after every trick to giving him a treat ever three tricks. He's not too thrilled at that, but it does the job.. Oh, I almost forgot that he has Speak down as well!! And lastly, Shake. This one was really simple because he gets really excited over treats and will lift his feet to paw at me and so I started just grabbing his paw and treating him, saying shake :) He picked it up in no time!:) I was really worried that this would be really tough since he is so low to the ground but he made it a breeze! Such a good, smart boy! I'm having trouble deciding what trick I want to move on from here.. I was thinking Spin but I cannot for the life of me get him to turn around in a circle, even guiding with a treat-he will just plop down and follow the treat with his eyes, flopping his head from side to side, trying to get a better view... Any ideas?

Since bringing Ziggy home, it's been on my checklist to take him to an obedience class. After spending more and more time with him, I'm unsure if that is such a good idea to start off with. He's nervous being outside of the house, and even shows signs of anxiety being out of our room alone. I have been trying to get this kinked outta him for a while but it has made me start to wonder if I should put him in a socialization class before taking an obedience class with him, to let him get used to being around other dogs without actually needing his attention because when he is nervous, he won't focus on me or a treat or anything other than what is making him nervous.

Speaking of dog interactions, Ziggy has played! I didn't manage to get a video of it (so sad) because I was way too scared of the play session stopping before I got back into the living room with the camera, but it was the cutest thing I've ever seen! Makes me extremely happy, and excited to add a second Corgi :) Gives me confidence that another dog could be a good influence on him to get up and move-just gotta find one that is playful but not overly hyper towards other doggies... That's quite a ways away in any case, but now I have that much more to look forward to :) (And maybe I'll get my walking buddy outta the deal too-what a win-win situation!)

He has also started to play with toys :) After recieving his gifts I've been able to pull sneakies and, during his playful moods, switch my hand with his new, stuffless squeaky raccoon toy... We played a bit of tug-o-war, the pulling on my end very loose.. You can tell he is waiting to drop it at the first sign of being told it's not okay to play with it.. But the more I manage to switch the toy out, the more he starts to tug back and squeak the toy :) Maybe he won't ever really play, and that would be okay, but I really hope that that's not the case, and have a flicker of faith that it won't be :D (Maybe this is another something that second Corgi can help out with hehehe!)

His fur has been changing somewhat.. I can't tell if it's just thickening or if it's getting a bit darker, or both... But it's getting cold here so it seems like it should be normal! I love his coloring, it's like he's a pumpkin in the right lighting.. Such a handsome guy.

He's been being a butt nugget about going poopies haha-stopping before getting on the grass and pooping on the pavement! The butt nugget.. Pretty sure he's just not happy with how damp it's been lately lol... Poor guy shall be in for it when the snow hits! I'm gonna have to invest in some doggy booties :) (And yes, record his humiliation while he gets used to them lol.) Though I am worried that he may refuse to move---as he does with his cone. Plops down and that's it haha.... But I'm sure that he would rather deal with the booties than the freezing temperatures. I would at least! I will have to dig the snow outta his way so he can go potty without it touching on his poor man parts haha.. I hope that he won't mind it too bad... I'm sure he'll be okay since there are other doggies around here that get by just fine haha.. But I want to make it as comfortable as possible.. After all, doesn't get so cold in OR and that's the coldest we've each experienced!! If all goes well, we won't be here by the time winter rolls around next year, but I'm unsure, as I the job I got here is a really decent one, especially in comparison to what I could have gotten, like being stuck in retail or a fast food joint. (Something that requires decent customer service skills..) I like that I can pretty much keep to myself haha..

I cannot wait to get Ziggy back on Eukanuba Salmon and Rice formula :D He loves it and it's actually good quality haha :P Plus his fur gets toooo soft and silky!

I am so proud of Ziggy, he boggles my mind more and more, day by day :) His cuteness never fades any, every time I look at his face, my heart beats slightly different than it normally does, just like it did for Skittles. I love my family, but in all honesty, it just doesn't compare to what I feel for my furbabies.. Seeing Ziggy every day and feeling the feelings that that brings me, I just can't understand how three other people (two it seems, one for sure willingly) let him go. It's almost like he isn't there at all, other than the fact that you need to buy dog food every now and again :) Doesn't enjoy walkies, so even the laziest of the lazies could own him-and hey! Just so happens that I do! (Haha.)

Ziggy is the best dog I could have asked for, and I'm so happy and thankful that I was the lucky person to wind up with him in my life :)

Since you guys have all been so kind and supportive, I wanted to share that I (FINALLY) have managed to wrangle a job here! Things can only go on to get better now. I tried to stay positive and right as soon as I was giving up hope on being able to turn things around, I get a call telling me that the job (a GREAT one with full health benefits, paid vacations, and an easy laid back enviornment with nothing but friendly employees) I had applied for that had been given to someone else was open again! I know I wasn't their first choice, but I'll make them pleased that the other person backed out. I am going to work my butt off to make this job work out for me and Ziggy. I'm so stoked to finally be able to start saving up an emergency vet fund :)

I go in Monday morning to sign the paperwork :)

I cannot tell you, the amazing people of Corgi Nation, how much all this help and support has helped.. Ziggy would not be sleeping at my feet right now without you guys, and I would probably be a depressed lub, still jobless, still sitting at my mom's house, but worse off in the sense that Skiski is gone. I wouldn't be able to deal with this situation without Ziggy and it's because of you guys that I have him <3<3<3

Unfortunately, I don't get to give him something fantastic, so he's getting lotsa treats (Cheerios, apple chunks) throughout the day, and lotsa scratches and pats... He also got a bit more in his breakfast and lunch today... And tonight he will be getting a bit of BBQ chicken!:) I don't have many pics yet, and it depends on how the batteries hold up on how many more, but here he is, being a handsome five year old and enjoying some of his snackage! (He's got his treat face on lol.)

Right now he is snoring pretty contently.. Can't wait to see his face when I break out the chicken lol.. He got pretty excited about the apple earlier, so I can only imagine!:D

At first, he wasn't too sure, but he started to really get a grip on it. Unfortunately, I managed to grab the one toy in the box that wasn't a dog toy, so I had to switch (hubby insisted, sigh) and the switching didn't go over so well, Ziggy lost interest in playing all together... But HE PLAYED WITH A TOY is the point, and I'm so ecstatic.

I'll get him >.> He will play more!

What's weird? Ziggy wanted to play more than the other dog. I mean, that wouldn't be very weird, except for the fact that Ziggy never wants to do anything!!

At first, it was him hoping around me, playing tug-o-war with my hand when then the other dog in the house, Shadow, came around to see what all the noise was about. Ziggy took this chance to run up to him, bounce, run back to me.. It took a couple times of him repeating that process, but then Shadow started bouncing back and soon they were air biting at each others faces, romping around.

Unfortunately, they got close too Shadow's hudad, and things got too real for Shadow. (Major jealousy issues.. Dog or human, he doesn't want you around his daddy!) Shadow started getting a little vicious, so Ziggy backed down. He tried a couple more times to get Shadow to play again, but at that point, Shadow wasn't a happy camper so Ziggy gave up.

It was really great to see him play. I wanted to record it but I just couldn't get myself to set up the camera and miss out on him playing! It was adorable!! It makes me that much more excited for when I have the money, space and time for a second dog. (Why can't I just win the lottery?)
