4 years in waiting, FINALLY THE TIME IS HERE!

I don't know if this page is still active but if anyone remembers me I am the girl asking around about corgi 4 years ago and went on hiatus. Guess What though? After 4 years of waiting and wanting I am finally getting my own corgi!! He will arrive in June at 3 months old, and I am going through research after research.  He will be fully vaccinated by then aside the rabies shot but I will take him to the vet anyway, I have several questions as a new parent:

1. Should I take him to…

Lost my Corgi, suddenly, two days ago. I'm still completely overwhelmed with grief.

Hi everyone,

I visited the message board to see happy stories of Corgis and try to bring my spirits.

Two days ago, in the afternoon, we unexpectedly had to put our Corgi to sleep.  He was almost 14 years old.  My wife, kids, and I all knew the time was coming but never expected such a turn of events.  I work from home and left my office to take a break.  Our Corgi, Toby, always lounged by our front door, on the cool tile floor.  I noticed that he was panting and breathing quite…

How do you get thru your Corgi dying suddenly?

Gracie and I were living in Seattle and I decided we should move back to Arizona because neither of us enjoyed riding an elevator and walking in the rain.    I found us a nice condo in Scottsdale and amazingly, my boss said I could work remotely in Arizona.  It was going to be perfect.  I’d get to spend all day with Gracie,  my best friend.  The condo is right next to the greenbelt, where I pictured some lovely walks with my girl.  I packed boxes and boxes and finally the day came for the…

Lost our beloved corgis

We are so sad...in May we lost Doc (we had to put him down) and 2 months later, lost Anne, his life long mate (she died in her sleep, very peacefully).  It has been a difficult summer after loosing both of them (Doc was 13 and Annie was 12). Will we ever get over this loss?  All I know, it is extremely difficult now.

Rest In Peace Darby

After 10 1/2 years of pure pleasure, companionship, love, loyalty, careing, fun, and intelligence, my devoted Corgi past away on July 7, 2017; he was diagnosed with pancreatitis with possible pancreatic cancer and after a week long effort by my wonderful and caring vet, he did not respond to treatment; I had to make the decision to end his suffering. Darby, you are now in a place where there is no more pain and all your desires will come true; you will always be the most handsome, the most… Continue

Frapping at the Bridge Pumpkin 8-2001 to 4-2017

My beautiful, fabulous world travel companion and my heart, Pumpkin, gave up her courageous battle with kidney disease April 26th.  She almost made it to 16 years old, and I am heart broken. My heart has a Cardi sized hole in it.  I was never alone, her striking Corgi eyes were always looking into my soul, she was constantly by my side.  I will forever miss her, she was so loved.

One-year Anniversary

Wednesday it was one year since my Teddy died at the age of nine. I spent about an hour at his gravesite that day and laid some artificial flowers there. Teddy had an auto-immune disease that nearly killed him in 2012, but he had made a miraculous recovery.

Some of his fur stared falling out and The vet had me shampoo him with a special formula. Other tests and a sonogram found he had bladder cancer. On the day he was scheduled for surgery, he was sick and they could not operate. Despite… Continue

It's been a long 2 months...

For those of you who aren't on Facebook I thought I should update you...in the last 2 moths I have lost 2 Corgis. Teddy was diagnosed with large tumor and spent his last few weeks with us before he was too sick and we had him put to sleep.

Wynn was diagnosed with bladder cancer last fall and started failing fast a few weeks ago so I also had to say good-bye to him.

Poor Sage is wondering where they are and very lonesome as she has never been an only dog! Hopefully she will have…

Shippo's Brother, Koga!

Hey guys... I've been away from this site for quite some time, and we've been busy.  Back in August, I went on a road trip with Shippo to pick up Koga, who was about 5 1/2 months old at the time.  Same breeder as Shippo.  We met up in Michigan and spent the next day there. Here is a photo I got of Shippo there. <3…

New Account

Before I was able to remember the login for this account, I had signed up for a new MyCorgi page.

I have tried and tried again to update the information on this account and haven't been able to do so-since rehoming Ziggy, I have visited my page many times on this site as a crutch when I felt low.

The new account was finally processed and approved so I feel instead of taking away from Ziggy's page, I will use the new one to follow Nova's life with. Just wanted to let… Continue
